An anime packed with “relatable civil servant moments,” made for civil servants by civil servants. A short anime that takes a peek into the daily lives of the staff working at the ward office in the fictional Chitoku Town Village’s “Hodora Ward” Hodoyoku! Word Office is a short anime aimed at civil servants working in local governments and public institutions. This series reunites director Takeshi Onaka, who teamed up about 10 years ago on Neko to Mata, with voice actors Tasuku Hatanaka and Takuma Nagatsuka. Artwork and teaser visuals for “Pressure,” a collaboration single by Ogasawara and SKYTOPIA, two notable producers from Tokyo’s new UKG scene. The tense, tight two-step rhythm and groovy bassline are expressed through elegant visuals with an acidic touch. In previous WORKS, ASCII art-style visual expression was created using After Effects, but this time, tool development was carried out with Claude Code, successfully building a low-cost workflow. The creature seated at the center is inspired by venomous organisms such as the Asian tiger mosquito and the blue-ringed octopus, pursuing a uniquely original mashup.

“Connect & Create NOBEOKA” is a residency program in which directors and filmmakers stay in Nobeoka and create video works while engaging with the local people, landscapes, culture, and everyday life. For the 2026 residency call, we produced the teaser visual and teaser movie. Building on the foundation of the program’s activities and its visual identity cultivated to date, we designed the colors and materials. Drawing motifs from Nobeoka’s culture and climate, we created tactile visual and cinematic expressions that are rooted in the region’s character and attuned to creators’ passion for making.

But no matter how much time passed, it never sprouted. Before long, the girl grew up, started a family, and went on with her life. Even so, the seed remained there, unchanged. —And then, one day. At last, the life that emerged was not a plant, but a “fairy.” Named “Toyon-chan,” this being seemed to answer her feelings, spreading green and life across the world once again. This is the story of how feelings nurtured out of sight eventually appear as great change. Toyohashi Printing Co.’s “unseen” project is an initiative to create a sustainable future together with the local community through environmentally friendly printing technologies and activities. Inspired by the song title “Radio Burst,” this project was created around the concept of a “broadcast station transmitting radio waves from space to Earth.” Each member was assigned a role, and their individual stories were expressed through props such as a globe, a red telephone, letters, and a pocket watch. By unifying the entire piece with a cyan and magenta color scheme and VFX, we aimed to balance the transparency characteristic of idols with a sci-fi worldview. Rather than explaining the story, we focused on creating an MV that allows viewers to experience the world of the piece through the video as a whole.

I created this work with the theme of visualizing the shifting lies and true feelings in love as emotional bugs. Throughout the piece, unstable motifs such as neon, sirens, and glitch noise are scattered throughout to express a psychological state in which the exhilaration of being drawn to someone and feelings of doubt coexist. While maintaining the glamour typical of an idol music video, I aimed for an atmosphere that feels somehow dangerous and addictive.

This is a documentary film created with the theme of preserving the atmosphere of Ms. Nagisa Shoji’s birthday event as it was on the day, along with the intensity of the live performance. Rather than focusing only on the on-stage performance, it is composed with care to capture the “atmosphere unique to that day,” including expressions before and after the show as well as interactions with the members. We aimed to create a film that conveys the special day’s atmosphere and sense of warmth, something that cannot be fully expressed by a simple live digest.

This promotional video was created around the theme of supporting the “career changes” and “anxiety about taking on challenges” experienced by people working in the fashion industry. Through characters working from different positions, such as designers, sales staff, and merchandisers, it portrays feelings like “I want to grow more” and “I want to try something new.” Rather than being a simple service introduction video, it presents a story-driven depiction of their struggles and conflicts at work, as well as how they gradually become more positive through learning. It also centers on the copy, “In your future, there is a senior who has already moved a step ahead,” and the entire video was designed to convey an atmosphere in which people can move forward not by worrying alone, but through learning and connections with others. Beyond a purely advertising style, the video emphasizes the characters’ expressions, sense of distance, and the overall atmosphere, aiming to create a piece that allows viewers to overlay their own “future selves.”

Following “Re:GAME” and “Catwalk,” this work portrays “release” as the final chapter of Tanaka’s three-part music video trilogy. While carrying on the fictional world built in the previous works, it incorporates the relationship between Takeshi Taniguchi and Tanaka himself, as well as the creative process, adding a documentary-like perspective. Though it is a music video, it also serves as a meta work that looks back on the trilogy itself, depicting the conflict and sense of release embodied in the song, somewhere between reality and fiction.
