I directed and produced the VR live video “【VR】Kizuna AI – melty world ~Halloween Edition~【Special Music Video】,” a Halloween-only special version featuring virtual talent Kizuna AI. This video was produced and developed using “Spectacle (tentative),” the VR live platform currently being developed at Activ8, where I am serving as Development Director. With the concept of “virtual x costume,” we expressed a costume experience spreading through a virtual space in the form of a VR live performance. This video can be viewed not only on browsers and smartphones, but also on VR devices. Kizuna AI has also been active as an artist, releasing collaboration tracks in 2019 such as W&W ft. Kizuna AI’s “The Light” and “AIAIAI feat. Yasutaka Nakata.” She also appeared at SUMMER SONIC 2019, attracting attention not only in Japan but also from overseas.

I directed and produced the virtual talent Kizuna AI’s “Hello, Morning ~Happy New Year Edition~ [Special Music Video].” This video was produced and developed using “Spectacle (tentative),” a VR live platform currently being developed at Activ8, where I am serving as Development Director. In this song, Kizuna AI passionately sings her first single, “Hello, Morning (Prod. Nor),” in a 360-degree VR space. As if in tune with Kizuna AI’s desire to “connect with everyone around the world,” she travels through a variety of worlds to the lyrics of “good morning.” This VR live video lets viewers experience a fresh start to 2020 alongside Kizuna AI as she sings while freely flying through a virtual space. This VR live video was produced as the second installment following the first, “melty world ~Halloween Edition~ [Special Music Video],” using “Spectacle (tentative),” currently under development by Activ8 Co., Ltd. You can enjoy this special MV with high-definition graphics in 360-degree VR video. With “Spectacle (tentative),” we aim to build performance spaces where virtual talents can showcase their appeal more than ever through rich VR live experiences, and to provide a place where they can deepen their communication with fans. We will continue exploring the possibilities of VR live in order to realize experiences beyond imagination and help virtual talents create miracles.

I directed and supervised the projection mapping at Shibamata Taishakuten. In 2018, the Cultural Landscape of Katsushika Shibamata was selected by the national government as an Important Cultural Landscape, recognizing the area for preserving its traditional charm and atmosphere. This event was held to commemorate the first anniversary of that selection. Set against the backdrop of Shibamata Taishakuten, this work expresses the history and culture of Katsushika Shibamata through the use of modern technology. By making full use of a media server, we achieved a synchronized production that combined projection mapping and laser animation.

A video installation created to showcase the potential of Epson’s ultra-short-throw lens, and viewable only by invited attendees. Like a Kandinsky work, it captures the experience of a single day within one piece.
