A crime drama that realistically depicts the underworld in contemporary Japan as it unfolds today, including the buying and selling of name lists, organized crime groups, special fraud, venture investment, and foreign criminal organizations. Ishigami Takeshi, a semi-yakuza who has just been released from prison, uses a list of personal information as seed money to start a scam list business and succeeds. Encouraged by his civilian friend Yasu to invest, Ishigami gets involved in venture business and tries to reinvent himself as an investor, but when a major business partner raises concerns about his past and demands that “Ishigami be removed,” he is forced to confront his situation. Meanwhile, the Oshima-kai, the largest yakuza syndicate in the Kanto region, to which Ishigami’s junior, Hirono, belongs, is being challenged by a conflict launched by the Ichikawa-gumi, formed by militant members who were expelled from the group. Ishigami, who once had ties to the Oshima-kai, is also forced to make an ultimate choice: civilian or yakuza, Oshima-kai or Ichikawa-gumi.
