Ai Otsuka has invited a variety of music producers and track makers from different genres to join her in a remake project, releasing her own reimagined songs as digital singles once a month. The fifth release is “Peach Petal (mabanua Remix).” “Now, more than ever, I find myself feeling affectionate toward my old songs.” The image is of light shining onto sounds that had been dazzling and left in the shadows. “Sounds that were hidden in the sunlight show their faces before the moon.” With the hope that each song would reveal many different expressions, this remake project has been accompanied by animated music videos. In her debut song, “Peach Petal,” those expressions gather in forms like animals and plants. The intention was to evoke a scene reminiscent of a nirvana painting.

In the music video, inspired by The Ugly Duckling, she portrays a journey of self-reflection and moving forward.
