Description: We created a lyric video as one of the songs in the Matsuken series. Rather than using live-action footage, we aimed to distill it through a combination of simple loops, incorporating Japanese-style motifs (evoking Abarenbo Shogun) and a Vaporwave aesthetic (with EDM elements).

As this was the theme song for the Black Rock Shooter mobile game, we created it by translating the striking character illustrations into a CG world. To convey both a hi-fi and lo-fi feel, we incorporated a futuristic expression while giving the visuals an overall analog texture. We also included FPS-style elements as part of the Black Rock Shooter content.

Music video for "Wasure naide Baby," a song by Nanawo Akari, written and composed by Guiano. Produced mainly with live-action footage, interwoven with CG and character illustrations. To evoke many everyday moments and memories, we directed it so that a variety of situations could be staged in an emotional way.

The worldview was composed using cel-shaded CG centered on a character (= antenna) who looks down upon diverse people from an overarching perspective, as also described in the music and lyrics.

Description: By centering the work on cel-character animation and building its world through CG and live-action collage, it portrays a girl suffering in a complex, increasingly diverse world. Focusing on materials with an “eye” motif, it creates an eerie atmosphere while also evoking a sense of elegance and Japanese aesthetics through motifs such as petals, the moon, birds, and wind. In addition, digital noise and analog textures are used to create a more chaotic worldview.

This expresses a mix of feelings entangled with lingering attachment and anger over a broken heart, and a faint hope of getting back together.

To make the chaotic otherworld evoked by the song feel more real, we used on-location shooting instead of chroma key, then composited the footage onto it. With objects and color schemes aligned to the song’s theme, the piece is cool, while also blending in a slight cheapness and a sense of comedy. In the verse sections, we layered shots with the same camera movement, incorporating the theme and intent of living in the present and breaking free from anxiety, without being bound by the “past” or the “future.”

Description: This video was created to depict a Vtuber, who is often active in illustrated or CG spaces, in the real world, aiming to make them feel closer to fans and listeners. By combining the concept of the song, “taking a brave first step and going on an adventure,” with sheep, which is also a character motif of the artist (Vtuber), we filmed on a farm and created the piece through compositing using match moving in a natural setting after stepping out. In addition, to give a bright and positive impression, we vividly incorporated rainbows and flowers, which are also part of the title.

This film was created primarily through location shooting and CG match-move compositing, carrying on the imagery of the previous work, “INNOSENT in FORMAL / Ai ja Takaramono feat. Chipleus.” By weaving in elements that evoke fish and an underwater atmosphere, along with driving imagery, we aimed to capture a sense of summer nostalgia and emotion. It was made so that viewers could feel the uplifting appeal of the song through the back-and-forth exchange between the band’s vocalist, Paul, and PES.

“2025 Osaka–Kansai Expo Bid Plan” Mori Art Museum Exhibition In 2025, the proposed site plan for the Osaka–Kansai Expo bid activity centers on keywords such as “decentralization” and “dispersal” to embody a future society, expressing the constantly changing relationships among diverse individuals and groups that are unique to our time. At the same time, it is also a model for a next-generation urban structure, designed to accommodate the operation of new urban elements such as autonomous mobility, including self-driving vehicles, and AR/MR (augmented reality/mixed reality). In this exhibition, the various new initiatives and characteristics incorporated into the plan are reconfigured as one possible form of the future city. In the cities of the future, diverse users interact in complex and dispersed ways within digital space. There is the “physical world,” which we perceive as objects, and the “information world,” represented by the web, as well as a “common ground” that serves as the intermediary realm between them. This exhibition expresses the social implementation of common ground. Visitors can experience the perceptual gaps between humans and digital agents, as well as our relationship with a world on an urban scale that cannot be perceived by humans.

ASO CALDERA HIKE At the plaza in front of JR Kumamoto Station, we unveiled “ASO CALDERA HIKE,” a विशाल space themed around the Aso Caldera, a symbol of Kumamoto’s great natural landscape, with a maximum diameter of approximately 24 meters and a maximum height of approximately 2.4 meters. “What if Kumamoto’s great nature came to the very center of the city?” ASO CALDERA HIKE is a content experience that lets visitors immerse themselves in Aso, the symbol of Kumamoto’s natural beauty. A giant object, inspired by the outer rim mountains encircling the Aso Caldera and measuring up to approximately 24 meters in diameter, was installed at Amu Hiroba. Visitors can step inside the ring-shaped structure, wander around, or sit and relax at their leisure. At night, a show and interstitial effects are performed using a high-brightness projector of approximately 40,000 lumens installed on the upper floors of the station building. PARTY was responsible for the planning and overall direction. Period: Friday, December 3, 2021 – Monday, January 10, 2022 (national holiday) Location: Amu Hiroba (Shirakawa Exit Station Plaza, in front of Kumamoto Station) Show Direction: HIKING SEASONS The theme is the four seasons of Aso. This is an immersive art experience in which visitors walk through a giant object modeled after the Aso Caldera and enjoy the changing, majestic scenery of Aso. From January, when the land is covered in snow and ice, to controlled grass burning, fresh greenery, Miyama kirishima azaleas, grass and blue skies, and pampas grass tinged by the setting sun, leading to a December landscape sparkling with countless stars. A vast projection spread across approximately 600㎡ brings to life Aso’s magnificent scenery as it transforms with the seasons.
