I was responsible for the direction and editing of the opening and pre-show videos for HENNGE Inc.'s new product launch event, “HENNGE Unveiled 2026.” Based on this event’s theme of next-generation zero-trust strategy, I expressed the idea of new solutions in an uncertain era through ever-changing visuals, where contours dissolve and then reemerge. By reworking the key visual into a dynamic sequence and using continuously transforming shapes, the piece conveys the company’s forward-evolving stance and anticipation for the new product.

We were responsible for the direction, design, and editing of the concept movie for “MotionBoard,” the business intelligence tool provided by WingArc 1st. The new version of “MotionBoard,” equipped with generative AI, makes analysis and board creation more intuitive and has evolved significantly in usability, enabling not only engineers but also frontline staff to develop business applications and leverage data in-house with greater ease. In the video, we depict data spreading through an abstract world and being handled with light, effortless operations, expressing its freedom of use and sense of innovation. Furthermore, by using soft colors and a friendly tone, we soften the rigid and difficult image often associated with BI tools, creating an impression that is approachable and easy for anyone to use.

Fuji Television Network, Inc. | "If the World Were a Stage, Where Would the Dressing Room Be?" Teaser Video

We were responsible for the direction, design, and editing of the teaser video for Fuji Television Network, Inc.’s drama If the World Were a Stage, Where Would the Dressing Room Be? This serial drama, for which Koki Mitani is writing the script for the first time in 25 years, is an ensemble coming-of-age story set in Shibuya in 1984. Centered on the theater that holds the key to the story, it features a single-take composition in which Kube, played by Masaki Suda, looks straight into the camera. A parallax effect that makes the cast names appear to float in space evokes the scale and atmosphere of the stage. We brought the world of the drama to life through fonts and designs reminiscent of the Showa era.

We created a brand film for ALPINE, a premium car audio brand from Japan with fans around the world. With the concept “SOUNDWARDS / Toward great sound,” we expressed a simple yet powerful brand message through dynamic visuals and music: where the best sound resonates, the best people gather and the best spaces are born. A great live performance and the audience drawn to it create the ultimate atmosphere. We captured that sense of being irresistibly drawn in with dynamic camerawork, making extensive use of drones. The music was created by KAITO, also known as Hiroshi Watanabe, whose work is released worldwide through Germany’s largest record label. The film direction and DP were handled by Senzo Ueno, and the overall planning and production were a collaboration with the creative agency Drill.

Projection Mapping and Lighting Show : Upopoy Kamuy Symphonia

Japan’s first national facility dedicated to sharing the history and culture of the Ainu people, Upopoy, opened in Shiraoi, Hokkaido, on Sunday, July 12, 2020. It consists of a folk museum, an interactive field museum, and an Ainu coexistence park, and has drawn attention as a base for reviving and developing the fading Ainu culture. What JKD was in charge of this time was the highlight of Upopoy’s nighttime program starting on Saturday, July 18, 2020: a large-scale show combining projection mapping and lighting. It depicts the Ainu creation myth through a delicate yet dynamic hand-drawn full animation running for just under 14 minutes, synchronized with soul-stirring music and sound design. The visual work is projected mainly onto the walls of the dome-shaped Experience Exchange Hall, as well as the surrounding hills, river, and statues. Lighting placed throughout the vast grounds is tightly synchronized with the music and mapped visuals, creating a mystical spatial experience that draws viewers into the story. Among the audiovisual works JKD has produced so far, this is one of the top three. The music is by OKI, a musician internationally acclaimed for his work with the OKI Dub Ainu Band, and Kuniyuki Takahashi, also based in Sapporo and known worldwide for his activities. To pursue truly authentic expression, the four animators, Ryoji Yamada, Hana Ono, Yutaro Kubo, and Tatsuhiro Ariyoshi, took part in this serious collaboration. The opening and ending motion was handled by Shotaro Tomiyama and Ko Kudo of the JKD visual team, and the overall visual direction was by Shane Lester. The story unfolds through the Ainu creation myth in a vast site facing a beautiful lake. We believe we were able to create an experience that draws viewers in. 読売テレビ・日本テレビ系で放送中の『ダウンタウンDX』（毎週木曜　後10：00）が放送開始25周年を迎えた。 これを記念し、「刃牙」シリーズで知られる板垣恵介氏、地獄のミサワ氏、2人の人気漫画家とコラボしたビジュアルが公開された。 『刃牙バージョン』では、板垣氏の代表作『グラップラー刃牙』に登場するキャラクターと見間違えるほどのダウンタウンの姿を同氏監修のもと表現。一方、『地獄のミサワバージョン』では、地獄のミサワ氏がその独特な世界観でダウンタウンを描き下ろした。2つのビジュアルに共通するキャッチコピーは「25年もやってんのに、まだDX続くんかい」。ダウンタウンから番組への愛あるツッコミを表現している。

In a field of darkness, we search for the next path, relying on the light of candles beneath the moon. Presented as one installment of “NEW GAME+ II,” a work depicting an adventure on the now-outdated platform of the nation-state.

From the song, I felt a summer-ambience kind of vibe and envisioned something ambient and electronic, so I wanted to make the visuals feel cool and refreshing. Although the meaning of the scenes themselves is abstract, I aligned the visuals with the beat and repeated the processes of editing and creating material to match the worldview of the lyrics, aiming for something that felt cohesively connected overall. For the graphic production and compositing (mainly in Blender, with a little final work in AE as well), I kept searching for something that matched the worldview and was pleasant to watch. During the material creation stage, I tried many different things with compositing in Blender, experimenting through trial and error, and connected various nodes together so that, even within abstraction, it would become something attractive and evocative. I did a lot of experimenting.

In the Six Realms paintings, we can move between a fragmented world only through reincarnation, but in today’s society, where virtual reality coexists with us, we can become the protagonist again and again and go anywhere. It was presented as one work in “NEW GAME+ II,” which depicts adventures on the platform of the nation-state, now an obsolete concept.

I was in charge of the direction, design, and editing of HENNGE Inc.’s Zoom waiting screen video. HENNGE WAY, the nine core principles valued by the diverse people who work at HENNGE, were visualized through graphics that express the message behind each one, then brought to life with animation. The motion was designed to help convey the sentiments embedded in them in a more three-dimensional way. Through the visual expression, I aimed to further embody HENNGE’s attitude of embracing change without fear, enjoying it, and continuing to take on challenges with a positive mindset.

In conjunction with the launch of Kurashiki Kako Co., Ltd.’s new corporate brand, “KURATECA,” we were responsible for the direction, design, and editing of the brand concept film. Kurashiki Kako provides products that support comfortable and safe living, leveraging its vibration and anti-vibration technologies used across a wide range of fields. By visualizing this invisible vibration control technology through live-action footage and animation, we created a film that conveys the company’s solid, life-integrated technology and helps support its outreach to the world.

Concept In a world where the species you are born into determines the course of your life, Legoshi and Haru were beings destined to walk separate paths. Even so, they are drawn to each other, reaching out to one another amid the instability of interspecies romance. Though uncertain, Legoshi keeps moving forward, confronting his inner conflict and instincts. And beyond that, with everyone cheering him on, he continues to run straight ahead. Technique This work was created through a wider range of experiments than ever before, combining commercial production methods with independent, handmade approaches such as rough drawings, hand-painted backgrounds, and real paper confetti. While retaining the collage-style animation in which each sheet and every individual part is moved piece by piece, it also continues to explore ways to adapt to a greater variety of works.
