Profile
Influenced by my mother, who is a designer, I enrolled at Kyoto University of the Arts. There, I discovered filmmaking and began working as a freelance designer and filmmaker while pursuing my music career. At 26, when I decided to give up music, I joined a video production company. At 31, I returned to freelancing and have continued working independently ever since. Having also experienced production work in television, I often bring a broad range of skills to set, drawing on my background in directing, camerawork, and editing. My experience in music also allows me to handle sound-related work, including MA and audio balancing. Most of my work has been in advertising, but I love music and sports, and I’m eager to get more involved in projects related to those fields.

Without much funding and still relatively inexperienced, we felt they had strong overall potential, so we decided that we could simply let them, dance, and the song carry the piece. With that in mind, we aimed to create visuals that were as stripped down and efficient as possible. The key point was the typographic treatment of the lyrics, which we translated into English in a way that anyone could understand, making it a gimmick that would keep viewers watching until the end.
