Studied animation in the Department of Graphic Design at Tama Art University. Has created numerous original abstract animations using motifs such as “cells” and “geometric forms,” and has been active mainly on the international film festival circuit.
Has been nominated for all four of the world’s major animation film festivals—Annecy, Ottawa, Hiroshima, and Zagreb—and has won awards twice at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
In addition, works were selected for world premiere screenings as official invitations at the Venice International Film Festival in 2011 and the Berlin International Film Festival in 2014.
In addition to original works, has also produced numerous animated music videos and commercials.

In 2014, released the theatrical omnibus Wonder Full!! nationwide in 15 cinemas, bringing together the short animated films created up to that point.
Currently in production on his first feature-length animated film, The Journey to the West of Suigen (tentative title), with the project presented at Cartoon Movie held in Bordeaux, France in March 2019, as well as at the Heisei 30 FY Media Arts Creator Development Support Program presentation.
In 2018, exhibited a two-dimensional work in VOCA: The Vision of Contemporary Art, a gateway exhibition for contemporary art.
In 2019, was appointed by the Agency for Cultural Affairs as an East Asia Cultural Exchange Envoy.
