**"Appo-kun and Appuppu"** is an animated short created for the TV Tokyo children's program Synapusyu. The film follows Appo-kun, a cheerful apple character, as he cycles through a variety of facial expressions and invites children and parents to join in a playful face-making game inspired by the Japanese expression “appuppu.” Imitating facial expressions is one of the most natural ways for infants and toddlers to engage with others. This work was designed around simple character shapes, repetition, and rhythm to encourage children to smile, imitate, and actively participate while watching. uwabami was responsible for the character design, animation, and direction. Rather than creating a passive viewing experience, the goal was to create a piece that encourages parents and children to make faces together and share spontaneous reactions through play.

A short animated work broadcast within TV Tokyo’s infant and toddler program “Sina Pushu.” Its distinctive structure shows the character “Nigimaru” being drawn in real time as it transforms into various actions. uwabami was responsible for the character design and animation direction. By showing the process of being drawn itself, the work draws out children’s curiosity and anticipation, creating an experience in which they can enjoy wondering “what will happen next.” With simple lines and shapes, and a rhythm of repetition and change, it is a work that combines visual clarity with a sense of participation.

A spin-off animation for adults derived from the popular “Minna no Dance” segment featured on TV Tokyo’s infant and toddler program “Shinapshu.” With simple, approachable characters and dance performances set to lively music, it humorously portrays small everyday scenes. In this work, the theme is “an evening drink,” expressed through humorous dance that captures the relaxing end of the day. Its short, intuitively enjoyable format and gentle world view are key features.

[TAKARA TOMY Kids] Produced for the YouTube channel. Based on letters sent by children all over the world, this piece was created around the theme of “how Santa prepares presents.” Under the concept of “something you can watch again and again,” various things happen simultaneously on the screen.
