Born in Tokyo. Animation filmmaker.
Her short animated film *A Movie So Boring It’s Painful* (2017) won the Japan Grand Prix at the 4th New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival. Since then, alongside her independent work, she has been creating animation for a wide range of media, including children’s programs and web commercials.
She aims to transform unpleasant memories and lingering emotions into humor rather than leaving them as they are. Driven by this motivation, she creates stories rooted in her own memories and gives them form through familiar, rounded characters such as cats and rabbits. While primarily working with digital drawing in TVPaint, she is also exploring a return to analog techniques.
She graduated from the Media Arts Course, Department of Information Design at Tama Art University, and completed the Animation program at the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts. Member of the Japan Animation Association.
