We renewed the opening, jingles, and other elements for Nippon TV’s morning information program DayDay. Keeping the logo, the program’s overall world, and its existing tone intact, we created the visuals around the theme of “fresh.” By newly incorporating translucent materials, we evoke a refreshing morning atmosphere. This was made for people who head out of the house in the busy morning, as if being pushed along by something.

Frosted Glass

Frosted Glass A 3DOOH artwork designed for the digital signage in the foyer of Akasaka BLITZ STUDIO, aiming to redefine the boundary between digital and physical spaces. The visual expression incorporates the texture of “frosted glass.” By intentionally using a texture that limits transparency, it makes viewers aware of the space extending “beyond the glass,” imparting a sense of physical depth to an otherwise flat display. In addition, to adapt to the changing ambient light environment throughout the day, two distinct lighting settings were implemented: Daytime: Exterior lighting that simulates natural sunlight from outside. Nighttime: Internal lighting that recreates the glow of light leaking from indoors. By synchronizing the visuals with the surrounding light sources, the unnatural “floating” effect typical of digital signage is minimized. The design aims to blend seamlessly into the landscape of Akasaka, a prominent entertainment district.

A 3DOOH work displayed at “Pandora Vision” in Shibuya. A baby monster looks down curiously from above at the various people—young and old—visiting Shibuya (the small monsters). Sensitive to new buildings and trends, always seeking new stimulation, it does not merely watch over the city, but grows together with the people who visit it.

Outdoor 3D advertisement for NBA Japan Games 2022 presented by Rakuten & NISSAN. We created a manga-like worldview, considering how to attract the attention of Japanese people unfamiliar with the NBA. We created this ad considering the possibilities of expression with 2D materials in outdoor stereoscopic advertising. We also created wrappings with the same design on the exterior walls of the building and implemented advertisements for the entire building. Outdoor 3D advertisement for NBA Japan Games 2022 presented by Rakuten & NISSAN. We developed a manga-inspired world, with the aim of drawing the attention of Japanese audiences who are not very familiar with the NBA. This project explored the expressive possibilities of using 2D materials in outdoor stereoscopic advertising. We also produced the same design as building wrap graphics on the exterior walls, carrying out a full-building advertising campaign.

I Said Cool,You Said…What? Interactive Music Video

Miho Hazama, the jazz composer born in Tokyo and now based in New York, who serves as chief conductor of the Danish Radio Big Band, created her latest album, “Imaginary Visions,” while traveling between the three cities of Copenhagen, New York, and Tokyo. Set to the track “I Said Cool, You Said… What?”, this interactive music video was conceived by Hazama herself so that viewers can enjoy the music while catching glimpses of each city and feeling as though they are the director. Space Shower TV’s newly launched STATION ID series, “Every life has a soundtrack.” This series consists of four parts, and together they ultimately portray the life of one person, from old age to middle age, youth, and childhood. As the first installment, it depicts “old age” and is a collaboration with ROTH BART BARON, a Japanese indie folk band formed in 2008 by singer-songwriter Masaya Mifune. Based on the given theme of “joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure,” we imagined a single flower as one person, and expressed the image of a flower in its final years looking back over the various emotions it has felt in the past—“joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure”—like a flood of memories.

A theater CM promoting the TOHO Cinemas au Monday campaign. To convey the idea that “everyone gets a good deal,” we chose building blocks as the central motif. While using orange and red as the key colors, we also incorporated shades such as white and black, creating a world of building blocks in varying sizes. Through light sounds and vivid colors, we expressed the excitement and enjoyment of entertainment.

Held at the National Art Center, Tokyo in Roppongi, Tokyo, “MANGA City TOKYO: Japan’s Manga, Anime, Game, and Tokusatsu 2020” This exhibition was a homecoming project for “MANGA⇔TOKYO,” which was held in Paris, France in 2018 and drew more than 30,000 visitors. By collaging exhibition archives from La Villette in Paris, scenes of Tokyo, and the elements on display, the overall image of the exhibition was reconstructed. *The exhibition footage was filmed at La Villette (Paris, France).

A 360-degree, all-encompassing visual experience. Watch fireworks, a beloved symbol of Japanese summer, beyond the seasons, as if gazing up at a star-filled sky. The first full-dome educational film in the fireworks industry, conveying the history and techniques of fireworks accumulated over more than 400 years since the Edo period. Centered on the protagonist Hibana, the story of fireworks is unraveled through live-action footage and CG animation. In addition to Japan’s representative fireworks displays, the live-action footage of cutting-edge show fireworks designed for full-sphere imagery, with 5,000 shells launched from all 360 degrees, captures the perspective from “directly beneath the fireworks,” a place no one except fireworks artisans may ever enter for safety reasons, enabling an entirely new visual experience. Official selection, the 12th Ebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions.

JUDGE

Inspired by SUNNOVA’s song of the same title, JUDGE was created for the special exhibition “Shinjuku City Visualize” as part of “Shinjuku Creators Festa,” with the theme of “visualizing Shinjuku.” Based on the song’s concept, “Do Not Label Us,” we built the visual imagery. The work captures the ever-changing vulgarity of Shinjuku and, in contrast, the towering buildings that rise above it. At the same time, it asks: Do the cityscape we are looking at now, and the people passing by, really exist? By collaging footage of Shinjuku that we shot ourselves with graphic elements that do not exist there, we created a world in which truth and falsehood are intertwined.

By treating the circular element as a single note, the design expresses how these elements trace trajectories and come together to form a variety of music. The theme of this piece is “visual image associated with sound.” This is an abstract visual image inspired by an analog drawing method called Pouring. Just like matière, an art technique in which poured paint flows together, this motion graphic visualizes what happens when we pour sound into an object. Here, we expressed how an object might react through its movement and textures. Exhibited at “Shinjuku Creators Festa 2017”

A VR installation work based on the concept of a "sound space." Its aim is to recreate the spatial quality of music and, through an HMD, transport one’s own sight and hearing into that space. Music always possesses both space and time. The groove created by sounds and the "ma" between them is what gives rise to a "vast space." By immersing oneself in that vast space, the work seeks to create an experience of being more fully enveloped by the spatiality of music.

Pokémon Card Game TOKYO LUMINOUS NIGHT

Based on the globally beloved Pokémon Card Game, a projection mapping display of light and imagery unfolds across the walls of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. The Pokémon depicted on the cards, along with iconic visuals, are brought to life in three-dimensional form through light and video, spreading a fantastical scene across the building at night. Please enjoy the Pokémon Card Game, which has been loved across languages, generations, and regions, as a stunning large-scale visual experience.
