Profile: Born in Hokkaido in 1984. Graduated from the Graphic Design Department of Tama Art University.
After joining Tohokushinsha Film Corporation, studied under Shin’ya Nakajima.
Has been active as a director/planner since 2010.
Was seconded to 17 (Jūnana), where he studied planning under Takuya Matsuo.
Joined EPOCH in 2019.
Specializes in direction that delicately captures the deeper layers of human emotion and draws audiences into the story by skillfully manipulating sound, dialogue, and expression across a range of tones.
Recipient of the JAC Remarkable Director of the Year Award in 2010 and 2015.
