I expressed the atmosphere of life during the COVID era around October 2020 through pixel animation and lo-fi hip-hop. I’m truly grateful to have been given the chance to create something this wonderful as a TV program title.

NHK’s SDGs campaign “17 Actions for the Future” commercial. A contemporary and lyrical pixel art animation created in the worldview of pixel artist Motocross Saito.

The work remains even after the artist’s death, continuing to shine and to influence people. Death, the afterlife, a life flashing before one’s eyes, and the work itself. These are the themes.

A commemorative video work for the collaboration between the gaming fashion brand “Vaultroom” and “chroNoiR,” the unit formed by two of Japan’s top VTubers, Kuzuha and Kanae. The base animation was produced by a TV anime production company, and then finished by Director of Photography Fumi Ohashi into a pixelated look never seen in a TV anime. The aim was to create a new work that blends the strengths of TV anime and individual creators.

This is the tie-in song for the film “Tonda Taiya” and Southern All Stars’ first animated music video. The animation director is Yoshiki Imazu. The film “Tonda Taiya” is based on a true story and centers on a major automaker’s recall scandal and company-wide misconduct. In this song, Keisuke Kuwata captures the melancholy of such a ruthless salaryman society in his lyrics. This animation is 100% social satire, depicting salarymen undermining and knocking each other down in society, piling up bodies to build a giant “pyramid.”

The animation keyframes were drawn by Yano and YUKI, and the piece was then animated based on those drawings. If you have bananas, everyone is happy. From children to aliens, two bananas travel from Earth into space, delivering bananas along the way. YUKI Banana and YANO Banana are musicians, but they are also beings who bring bananas to people in need all over the world. Built around the concept that giving a banana leads to happiness, the story begins in Japan, expands overseas, and finally scales up to space in an epic narrative. GYAO!
