- Graduated from the Media Arts course in the Department of Information Design at Tama Art University. Recognized for lively, explosive animation, her work has attracted attention at the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival in Germany, the world’s oldest short film festival, and at the Ottawa International Animation Festival in Canada, one of the world’s four major animation festivals. In particular, at the Ottawa International Animation Festival, one of her works was selected as one of the Best of Ottawa 2013, and festival director Chris Robinson described her as “a fresh talent in Japanese animation.” She has produced numerous original short films centered on the themes of music and animation, and her work has been screened at many international film festivals. In addition to her original projects, she has created animation for a wide range of music videos and children’s television programs, including the MV for Fujifabric’s “Green Bird,” FLOWER FLOWER’s “Takaramono,” and the animation for NHK’s Michitabi!. She also works as an illustrator and designer, and has created logo designs for the TV drama series Warotenka and NHK’s Yamato Niyadera Shōjin Nikki. She is also a member of the management team of ANIME SAKKA ZAKKA, a project that organizes screenings of animators’ works and sells original goods.
