Fairy Daizukan is a performance unit. This was produced as the opening animation for their YouTube channel.
It begins with Naito, a security guard in a building late at night, accidentally hearing a mysterious radio, and the main part unfolds with puppets, singing, and dancing. The animation I was in charge of depicts this strange encounter.
As a concept, I aimed for an animation that felt somehow nostalgic, with a look you might remember from childhood, and a retro color palette and image quality, as if it had been sleeping deep in the back of a closet.
