This is the second installment of “What Kind of Home?” With the Japanese concept of the “eight million gods” as a hidden theme, this series portrays a world in which even the smallest presences in nature may be alive with spirit and signs of life. As an animation for babies, it features a minimal, highly legible character design without over-detailed drawing, and places great importance on gentle, endearing movement.

What Kind of House? (Season 1)

This is the first installment in the short anime series “What Kind of Home?” featured on TV Tokyo’s “Shinapushu.” Inspired by the Japanese concept of “yaoyorozu no kami” — the idea that countless deities dwell in all things — this work was created around the theme of turning our attention to the small lives and subtle presences that reside in nature. With the hope that children can freely expand their imagination in nature, we aimed for a simple, gentle style of expression by stripping away as many elements as possible. In addition, we focused on a minimal character design with infants’ visual perception in mind, along with movements that feel lovable and endearing.

I was in charge of creating the animation for emmi Holiday 2025. The animals appearing in the work are all species that are facing the threat of extinction. emmi’s knit collection, “Live together, Live with the earth,” expresses these animals in vibrant colors together with “positive prayers,” and proposes a future in which we live alongside the Earth through sustainable materials. In this work, those thoughts and sentiments were visualized through animation.

We produced an animation for social media ahead of LILY BROWN’s Spring 2025 sale. Featuring the brand’s beloved “Lily Bear” motif as the main character, the visuals were designed to softly yet memorably convey the appeal of the collection. In the animation, costume changes and pose transitions are used to express the lightness and sense of fun that evoke spring.

Lily Bear Candle – Holiday Magic 2024

This SNS animation was created around LILY BROWN’s novelty item, the “Lily Bear Candle,” for the 2024 holiday season. It is composed with a scene in which a small “magic” begins with the candlelight. The flow of light born from the flame softly spreads, then gradually transforms into the shape of a teddy bear, capturing this sequence in an impressive way within a short runtime. The visuals stay close to the brand’s classic and feminine world, while emphasizing the warmth and sense of fantasy that evoke the holidays. Set against a night scene filled with floating stars and ornaments, it uses light, particles, and fluid motion to express “the special time contained within a gift.”

Tsukumochan is a character inspired by the “tsukumogami,” spirits said to inhabit objects that have been used with care. It depicts the Japanese sensitivity to sensing life in familiar things, in a gentle way that can be understood by babies and children alike.
