Profile: After graduating from the College of Art at Nihon University, he worked at Sony Music Entertainment and Sony Computer Entertainment before going independent as a freelancer. In 2007, he founded GARYU, a CG company specializing in design. He currently serves as Chairman and Art Director, while also contributing broadly to the CG industry through teaching, writing, and other activities. His CGWORLD column, “Garyu Tensei,” has become a long-running series now in its 18th year.
