Profile: Born in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, in 1989. Completed the Animation Program at the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts. While in school, created works such as Kitzune Tsuki (2015) and Through the Windows (2014), employing fluid techniques including paint-on-glass animation, in which images painted on glass are captured frame by frame, and sand animation. Received awards and nominations at film festivals in Japan and abroad. After working as a creator at a web production company, currently works as a freelance animator on commercials and television anime series, while also producing independent work as a personal artist. Strives for an artistic style that conveys the texture and warmth of traditional materials.
