Outdoor installation work, W4.5mm × H2.5mm. Presented at Roppongi Art Night 2025. A composite structure of LED neon, LED vision, and painting, in which the imagery on the LED vision switches in response to the blinking of the central sculptural LED neon object, illuminating the space with high-intensity light. Together with the other exhibited work, “Current Location,” the theme is “movement” within urban space. [Statement] When a street sign updated with LED is detached from its former purpose of stimulating desire and arousing speculative excitement, it becomes nothing more than a device whose lines flash brilliantly. The bright flickering light, visible under any conditions, attracts people and creates a sense of exhilaration even without any function. In a city centered on this intersection, it may serve as a marker for crossing over divisions such as arterial roads, the boundary between city and art, the threshold between everyday life and festival, and invisible hierarchies.

Description: A monthly event calendar for the live house Shibuya WWW. A year-long series of looped animations was created, each featuring the names of the artists performing that month. Text elements were arranged to blend into the visuals, adding a playful touch to information that might otherwise feel monotonous. Twelve blinking neon signs, each with a different composition, invite viewers into the live space. *This video compiles all 12 months.

An installation consisting of LED neon and two high-brightness LCD displays. Under the theme of “a new hope that illuminates the night, and an invitation to the social spaces it creates,” it expresses the vitality of human activity through the flickering of man-made light. By contrasting animated LED neon with neon imagery in digital signage, the work incorporates concepts such as updating past motifs with contemporary technologies and methods, and pursuing sustainability by reducing power consumption and improving safety, while presenting them in an extremely entertaining form.

This is a visual piece created for the cover of a free magazine, along with an accompanying animation. It expresses a sense of intoxication through the dazzling flicker of neon lights. Like strolling from bar to bar through a back alley at night, it loops in a horizontal scroll across the front and back covers, which are lined with the names of the featured establishments.

Description: A three-part project by Berlin-based Italian sound producer NOCUI, consisting of two singles and one EP. I created the jacket artwork and a visualizer based on it. Set to Italo Disco, the piece connects imaginary worlds to landscapes from Italy of a bygone era. Nostalgic yet fantastical scenes are rendered solely through the flickering of lines evocative of neon signs. *This video is a re-edited version of three works.

In collaboration with a French fashion brand, visuals were created for “I LOVE YOU DAY.” With a high-school-inspired feel, they flash vividly and refreshingly. The work consists of solo visuals for four items, as well as composite visuals combining them.

Created visuals for a Chinese New Year celebration selection by a French fashion brand. The festivities are expressed through a tiger dressed in the brand’s products and the blinking of a background pattern inspired by the distinctive chain of an accessory.

A series of minimal loop animations and installations composed solely of blinking simple line drawings inspired by neon. Each work consists only of a repeated sequence of different flashes, roughly 4 to 8 frames each, yet the continuous repetition creates the sense of movement. Although the technique is inorganic and stoic, the expression was designed to feel approachable and familiar. As an extension, combining the work with live action and 3DCG creates contrasts in texture and a sense of depth.

For an American metaverse platform, we created fictional advertising signage to be displayed in virtual space. By incorporating direction that matches the worldbuilding, the piece blends a sense of newness with a slightly old-fashioned expression.

Released a collaboration visual with a luxury brand on the brand’s digital journal. Taking this season’s concept, “Salon,” as its theme, we created a minimalist loop animation composed solely of the blinking of simple neon-like lines. Using the collection’s products, colors, and textures, we expressed the brand’s new identity—glamorous yet stoic.
