Profile
Born in 2004 and based in Tokyo, this visual creator began making 3DCG works after discovering Blender before entering high school, during the period of self-isolation brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
They have been actively creating multiple music videos for artists, including Macaroni Empitsu’s “Nectarine.”
More recently, they have also been exploring works with a fantasy-inspired visual style.

Official Lyric Video for Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s “Darling.” This work takes on the challenge of expressing the song’s world and emotions not through people or specific characters, but through light—such as the movement of shadows, lanterns, and candle flames. The video unfolds with a simple structure, moving from a viewpoint just above the ground and passing through countless lanterns and candles. Each light, however, carries meaning. The many different kinds of lanterns and candles represent the differences in people’s lives, while the scene in which the flames are extinguished by heavy rain symbolizes hardship and loss. Toward the end, an overwhelming number of fireworks are launched, expressing the brilliance and wonder of life. On the technical side, to keep the camera centered on the ground while still bringing the fireworks in the sky into the frame, careful attention was paid to every detail, such as wetting the ground to reflect the sky.

A music video for the 2nd single, “Noise, Violence, Music, Ecstasy,” from Toho’s character band project, Mofu Mofu Music Caravan. A charming, pop-infused work centered around stylized 3DCG characters. Throughout the video, energetic effects inspired by manga speed lines are incorporated to create a dynamic visual expression. In keeping with the theme of the piece, the video also makes extensive use of striking direction based on Japanese motifs, such as moving folding screens, shadow puppetry seen through shoji screens, and sumi-e ink paintings. Furthermore, the overall 3DCG compositing reflects a strong awareness of Japanese aesthetics, with colors and textures inspired by nihonga and ukiyo-e.

An MV that depicts a world reminiscent of 90s-style retro anime and sci-fi, rendered in psychedelic colors. By combining realistic 3DCG with flat effects and unifying the whole piece with a faded, old-tape-like composite, it creates a distinctive nostalgic texture. Strong gloss, glitter, and excessive bloom effects were inspired by the atmosphere of the electronic music videos of the past. In the background, a cyberpunk city spreads out like the large-scale sci-fi anime series of the old days, and symbolic motifs are scattered throughout the details, including a megalopolis fused with flesh-like forms inspired by the theme of bergamot. In addition, the lyric expressions that appear in a handwritten style are also one of the features that leave a strong impression of this work.

MV for Tomonari Sora’s “Yellow Signal,” the new opening theme for the rebroadcast version of the TV anime *Assassination Classroom*. This work is composed as a retro video game-inspired world, with motifs drawn from the story and characters of *Assassination Classroom*. By using pixel-art textures and low-poly 3D models, and then applying a VHS-style composite in the final finishing stage, the visuals were given a nostalgic texture. In addition, the cut-ins and movie-like scenes that were “typical” of slightly older games were researched and recreated. In the flight scenes, to emphasize the sense of speed at Mach-like movement, we also incorporated the delay effect of chunk loading that occurs during high-speed travel in games such as *Minecraft*. In addition to the youthful feeling of the anime itself, taking into account the context of a rebroadcast of a series from about 10 years ago, we aimed for a feeling like a “reunion that brings back memories of those days” by weaving in retro elements.

A roughly 4-minute music video rendered entirely in full 3DCG. It is a story-driven visual work in which the narrative unfolds in sync with the song. The visuals were designed with a strong emphasis on vivid, colorful imagery in line with the video’s themes of “cyberpunk,” “neon,” and “Chinese.” Because it includes many acrobatic camera movements, especially in action scenes, controlling the interactions between the characters proved quite difficult.
