Created from scratch as a fully original work together with screenwriter Keisuke Kamiya, this series is a buddy story about the slightly unusual pairing of Tsugumi Aoi (Rie Mimura), a real estate agent, and Tsubame Toriumi (Hana Morimoto), a repair specialist. It gently and lightly portrays people who keep striving through each day while living with what’s missing in their lives.
2D animation ONE DAY, 2050 / Sci-Fi Prototyping HABITAT, 2050 | You or You 2021 00:02:10 Sony designers and science fiction writers collaborated to depict “Tokyo in 2050” using the methodology of sci-fi prototyping. With the three keywords “2050,” “Tokyo,” and “romance” as a broad framework, they held a series of intermittent workshops to explore four themes—“WELL-BEING,” “HABITAT,” “SENSE,” and “LIFE”—which culminated in “design prototyping” by designers and “short science fiction stories” by science fiction writers.

Launched as a flagship project for The Weeknd’s 10th anniversary, this fully 3DCG work was completed over a production period of approximately two years with a team of more than 50 staff members. Centering on Hajime Sorayama’s globally acclaimed “Sexy Robot,” it visualizes an epic romantic tragedy. At HOEDOWN, we handled the concept, planning, direction, and production in an integrated manner.
TV Edogawa Rampo Short Story Collection: “The Monster Doctor” 2021 Only Image We produced the short drama “The Demon Doctor” for the series Edogawa Rampo Short Stories (NHK). Featuring Hikari Mitsushima in the role of Kogoro Akechi, this series “faithfully adapts” Edogawa Rampo’s original works for the screen. Along with a star-studded cast including Akaji Maro, Eiji Sugawara, and YOU, we incorporated HOEDOWN’s signature music video-style techniques and took on the challenge of creating a cinematic direction. Music video tell me tell me – m-flo♡Sik-K & eill & Taichi Mukai 2020 00:03:35 We produced the music video for “tell me tell me,” a song from m-flo’s “loves” project, in which they collaborate with the next generation of artists, released on March 6, 2020. For the first installment of this project, which marked the project’s revival after about 12 years, they welcomed Sik-K from the Korean hip-hop scene, and eill and Taichi Mukai from the Japanese R&B scene. Sharing the same world and concept as Chupa Chups’ “HAPPY COLLOR DAY” concept movie, the music video turned out to be a fun and pop-filled piece that conveys the brand’s message of “FOREVER FUN.”

Tamaki ROY × Chinza DOPENESS. “Energy Furo” was born from Ryuichi Sakamoto’s classic “energy flow,” rearranged with U-zhaan’s tabla, the rap of Tamaki ROY × Chinza DOPENESS, and Sakamoto’s prepared piano. In the music video, which also features Sakamoto himself, the four musicians performing the song are given a dreamlike treatment against the backdrop of a nostalgic, old-fashioned public bathhouse.
Installation Gasu-tena-ni 2019 00:00:53 We handled everything from planning through production for the entire exhibition area of “Gasutenaani: The Gas Science Museum,” operated by Tokyo Gas. Reopened in October 2019, the museum is a facility where visitors can enjoy learning through hands-on exhibits about the features of “energy,” which supports our daily lives, and its relationship to future lifestyles and society. In conjunction with the renewal, we created 15 interactive contents that use the latest technology and allow even young children to learn intuitively.
Music videoPVShort film SUSHIBOYS - Highway 2019 00:03:28 I created the music video for “Kousoku Douro,” included on SUSHIBOYS’ EP Shindara Hone, released on October 25, 2019. By combining scenery outside the car composited through projection with dynamic lighting, the video recreates the exhilarating sense of speed unique to a highway. The result is a distinctive piece featuring numerous angles and actions that would normally be impossible while driving.
Music video Hasegawa Hakushi "Poison" 2019 00:03:02 We created the music video for “Doku” from Hakushi Hasegawa’s debut CD release Kusaki Mōdō, which was released on December 19, 2018. Set to the track, the video is a striking piece that captures around 200 Asian toys dancing wildly in a frenzy.
Installation Future Strata Digging the Future 2019 00:03:23 Description: We produced a video work that serves as new content for the Japan Science and Technology Agency's Miraikan signature exhibit, "Geo-Cosmos." Based on the hypothesis proposed by atmospheric chemist Paul Crutzen that the strata formed by human activity should be positioned as a new geological epoch called the "Anthropocene," the work provides an overview of Earth from its birth to the present. Using a wide range of techniques, including special effects, animation, and CG, and set to music by env.Roy and U-zhaan, it playfully presents the difficult theme: “What will our era leave behind in Earth’s history?”
