Music video for “Antinomy,” a song by amazarashi, which serves as the ending theme for the anime NieR:Automata Ver1.1a. Conceived and produced by Yoko Taro, the director of the NieR series, it is a 15-minute “puppet play” that serves as a spin-off of the NieR story. I was responsible for the CG in the final shot.

Thank you for watching. ◻︎Concept / Overview From an everyday life that feels somehow cramped and hard to breathe, to a daydream world of my own where I can breathe a little easier. I didn’t really find anything I was looking for, and yet my heart felt full, and it seemed like I caught a glimpse of a tiny ray of hope. …This kind of inner landscape is expressed through hand-made stop-motion (pixilation). By spending time filming analog-style in the creator’s hometown, I wanted to capture the atmosphere of the city, the gentle sunlight, and the soft breeze— things that cannot be fully conveyed by AI works generated in an instant— and bring into the film that somewhat nostalgic feeling that exists in everyone’s heart. While calculating changes in the weather and the timing of the sunset, filming frame by frame was challenging, but through dialogue with nature, I was able to rediscover the joy of creating as a human being. This work is an independently produced original short film. Including the preparation period, it took about five months to complete (October 2025 to February 2026). A lyric-driven MV version is also currently in production. I also post short videos on Instagram, so please check them out if you’re interested. Instagram: @New age ESPer Thank you very much!

Based on the atmosphere of classic galge/eroge, this is a wildly over-the-top 8-bit music video made with fun and momentum as the top priority. While borrowing the signature visual direction and symbolic designs of dating sims, the structure is built to keep firing off gags at a brisk pace. Rather than worrying too much about the limitations of pixel art, it fully commits to overwhelming the viewer through dense visuals and editing rhythm. In this work, the “paradise” feeling that comes with the harem setup is also treated as an important element. I poured a flood of convenient dreams and excessive happiness into the visuals. By handling the direction, pixel art creation, and editing all myself, I aimed to create a music video that puts its upbeat energy front and center.
