We were responsible for the direction, design, and editing of the teaser video for Fuji Television Network, Inc.’s drama If the World Were a Stage, Where Would the Dressing Room Be? This serial drama, for which Koki Mitani is writing the script for the first time in 25 years, is an ensemble coming-of-age story set in Shibuya in 1984. Centered on the theater that holds the key to the story, it features a single-take composition in which Kube, played by Masaki Suda, looks straight into the camera. A parallax effect that makes the cast names appear to float in space evokes the scale and atmosphere of the stage. We brought the world of the drama to life through fonts and designs reminiscent of the Showa era.

We created the animation “The Song of Repetition by ROUTINE RECORDS,” which is used in a new segment of NHK E Tele’s children’s program Aokiiro, together with HERALBONY. “Ao” and “kiiro” are different colors, but when the two overlap, they become the same “midori.” Aokiiro is a program that nurtures a “mindset of coexistence,” in which many forms of life overlap and resonate with one another, and people come to rejoice together, help one another, and live together. In “The Song of Repetition by ROUTINE RECORDS,” we use the “tone” of repetitive behaviors, or routines, which may at first seem strange to others, as exhibited by people with disabilities, as a guide to express their invisible “inner landscapes” through music and animation. We also produced a music video version, “The Song of Repetition,” which brings together the stories of four artists contracted with HERALBONY into a single song.

A special program born from “E-Tele 2355・0655,” themed around the major summer vacation event of “independent research.” It has aired every year during the summer vacation season. A program that aims to convey in an engaging way the spirit of research and science: stepping away from simply completing assigned themes and instead discovering interesting phenomena in the world around you, then experimenting and thinking them through.

A special program spun off from “PythagoraSwitch,” themed around computational thinking. As of 2022, it has aired up to vol. 3.

In the NHK special program “This is JO1 - Go to the Dream - ” featuring the global boy group JO1, COSMIC LAB handled the direction of “JO1 x Technology.” We were responsible for planning, designing, developing, and directing a cutting-edge virtual production system that combines XR, lighting systems, and sensor technology. By expanding the world of the music and the dance performance in which all 11 members move in sync, it brought out a new challenge from “JO1.”
