.ENDRECHERI. Tsuyoshi Domoto’s heartfelt rearrangement of “Machi,” the singer-songwriter debut song he released in 2002, revisited 22 years later in 2024.
Starting from Nara, Tsuyoshi’s hometown, the piece depicts each scene with the image of moving eastward through Osaka, Aichi, and Tokyo.
It was mainly produced as 2D cutout animation with digital drawing, and the two opening shots of the character’s movement were created using rotoscoping.
