I directed three TV commercials introducing the business of Mizuho Financial Group. The commercial features Natsuki Deguchi, and the music is by Kabanagu. This was my first time directing commercials, and with guidance from Masaki Ueda and the production team, I completed the project over a three-month process that included storyboarding, filming, and editing. I also created the motion design for the text myself.

In this work, RYO the SKYWALKER’s negative image of the modern media is brought to life. Transforming into “Kong,” he rampages through the world, purifying a realm made up of negative words. It is a piece that visually conveys the message embedded in the song in a direct way. Together with the energy of reggae, it was created with the aim of delivering that message straight to the audience.

This is the sixth ending theme for the TV anime “Ahare! Meisaku-kun,” based on an original work by Takato Shinkai and featuring character designs by JUN OSON. The concept imitates the “before-and-after” effect often seen on Instagram and TikTok, where the camera lens is covered by a hand to create a transition. It proposes a scenario in which Meisaku, who is seriously cleaning, transforms into a classmate who messes around while cleaning. Illustrator docco joined as the character designer, resulting in a “reverse deformed” design with more realistic proportions.

Mitsubishi Materials Group marks its 150th anniversary. Through character animation, the film expresses the group’s commitment to creating new value and a better future through manufacturing, as well as its determination to change the way things are through recycling—and to transform itself in the process—with “infinity” as its motif. Narration and music were created by kotringo, an artist active on the global stage.
