A promotional video for a Yamanote Line takeover campaign aimed at increasing awareness of and encouraging app installs for “STOCK POINT for CONNECT,” a points investment app that lets users exchange points for stocks. The P-chan version features a points character, using motion graphics to depict points transforming into stocks and being returned to the city. The illustration version emotionally portrays the frustrations and worries of young people. The roulette version highlights a campaign that makes use of Yamanote Line beacons. By allowing users to experience investing in a simulated way through point-based asset management, the campaign aimed to raise awareness of investing. Targeting younger audiences, it promoted the image of something easy and simple to start. A Yamanote Line AD train takeover promotion was carried out.

Description: Featuring the official character “Palmy-chan” throughout, this was produced as a drawing tutorial, with the aim of creating a finish that blends analog and digital elements.

This 15-second piece was created for “JAA Omnibus: Infinite ∞ 15-Second Animation,” a segment of “Into Animation 8,” an event hosted by the Japan Animation Association (JAA), which Shota belongs to. Interpreting the theme “infinite ∞” in my own way, I handled everything myself, from coming up with the idea to creating the animation and composing the music, and completed it in less than one week in total. I worked on the rough sketches in CLIP STUDIO PAINT (iPad version) to check the motion. After that, I scanned drawings made on paper and finished the video using After Effects and Photoshop. The music was created by humming the idea into a melody and building on it with GarageBand. The vocals were also recorded from my own singing.
