▶️Overview A one-minute animation of living creatures (and even inanimate objects like everyday items!) as they drift off to sleep. After finishing work, returning to their room, and settling into a relaxed state before falling asleep, they appear defenseless, a little pitiful, and somehow endearing. ▶️Production Method 2D digital animation

A short animation created for the short reel album featuring the song “I Want to Live!” by Freedom Hiruko and various artists/collectives. Of the three videos, two were produced with a focus on traversing between images and videos, so the first and second are connected.

This project was designed to deliver Nabtesco’s “Moving. Stopping.” technology—an unsung, behind-the-scenes force—as a visual experience that the general public can understand intuitively. In this work, the Nabtesco Monsters were rendered in 3DCG, and a pathway was designed to help audiences take it in as something personally relevant through a family conversation as the entry point. Kakao, who is very large and strong; Pista, who is dexterous, flexible, and even capable of transforming; and Berry, who uses her long arms to handle detailed tasks briskly, all appear in a composition that connects the technologies working behind the scenes of society to familiar everyday scenes.
