Created the animation for “Kuma Toki wa,” broadcast on ETV’s Utatte Manabo. I was in charge of character design, direction, and backgrounds. The content teaches three kinds of measures: measures to take if you encounter a bear, measures to avoid coming across one, and measures to prevent bears from entering town. The aim was to convey these measures in a fun, approachable way, so that children can actually reenact them from the video and learn how people and bears can coexist in their respective environments.

YOASOBI "Comet" Official Music Video

A music video set in the world of the manga BEASTARS. The first 89 seconds also serve as the ending sequence for the second season of the TV anime BEASTARS. The blue-world portion in the first half was colored frame by frame entirely with watercolor paints. By combining this blue segment with the red-world segment that begins in the second half, which is expressed digitally, the video presents two extremes within a single music video, contrasting the tenderness and happiness that have filled the past in the story behind this song with the cruel reality that is to come. For the production of this video, three-dimensional models of each character were created. Using these as references for the drawings made it possible to depict the BEASTARS characters, whose complex shapes are difficult to express through animation, with hand-drawn animation.

NHK E-tele’s “Mittsuketa!” “Mouretsu ni Hassan!” music video. This song’s theme is to sing, dance, and “Hassan” away the stress you carry every day. From the nostalgic feel of the melody, we aimed for a high-energy video with a cheap, funny vibe reminiscent of the early days of CG in the Showa and Heisei eras. Kouhei Nakama (WOW) once again collaborated with director Hibiki Yoshizaki of Studio Khara to produce the opening sequence for Season 2 of the anime Kaiju No. 8, following their work on the first season. The sequence visually expresses the inner turmoil and emotional conflict of Kafka Hibino / Kaiju No. 8, caught between his human and monster selves. The opening theme, “You Can’t Run From Yourself,” was written specifically for the series by AURORA, the renowned singer from Norway. Kaiju No. 8 Official Website https://kaiju-no8.net/en/

Created from discussions with Studio Colorido director Kyo Yoshizaki, this video visualizes the question, “Where do kaiju come from, and what is their purpose?” Set to “Abyss” performed by YUNGBLUD, it abstractly depicts, in a single continuous shot, the process by which cells born in the deep sea grow and divide before emerging on land as a kaiju, while interweaving the characters’ emotions. Elements, kept as simple as possible. Behavior, made as natural as possible, something that never gets old. With “10¹² TERRA,” we explored the interplay of light and shadow created by the rotation of the outer and inner shades of a white, geometric form. The source of motion is nothing but convection caused by the heat of an incandescent bulb. Without using any motorized power, we pursued a natural, beautiful, gently flowing movement of light. “LUX” — What we set out to design was not a fixture called lighting, but “the behavior of light” itself. It softly shapes the space with drifting light and shadow. A beautiful, conceptual light, here.

Treating sound and image as an inseparable medium, they create site-specific, transformative experiences. An accelerated hybrid that goes beyond the frameworks of AV/DJ/LIVE, a minimalism that emerges beyond maximization. By accelerating the inseparability of image and light through expanded shingeri futurism and crustal atomic audio-visual reactive, it pushes the limits of visual and sonic integration. A swarming bundle of chaos and fun surrounds Yamantaka Eye, aka ∈Y∋, the visionary founder of legendary avant-noise groups Boredoms, Hanatarash, and Puzzle Punks. Working since the 1980s, ∈Y∋'s output has influenced and shaped experimental music in his native Japan and across the globe. From noise and psychedelia to performance art and visual art, ∈Y∋'s career is a collage of creative mischief and devilish collaborations. He has performed with the iconic Sonic Youth, on John Zorn’s Naked City (1990), and with the influential South Korean artist Nam June Paik, among many others. Signage content installed at MUFG Bank’s new concept store, “M’s Square TAKANAWA.” We joined the project from the planning stage and were responsible for direction. Rather than taking a conventional advertising approach, the piece was created around the concept of a visual experience that would make passersby stop and take notice. Using a transparent display device, we designed the content as a generative visual expression in which the imagery changes in real time according to live foreign exchange data, allowing financial information to be perceived in a visual and intuitive way.

[Misora Hibari "Like the Flow of the River" × AI Creative Contest] "Embraced by the Four Seasons" / Korotech Video Work

00:02:01
A music video work created for the AI creative contest “Corotech supported by LIVE DAM WAO!” hosted by the Nippon Columbia Group (NCG) on February 21–22, 2026. Starting from my own sense of motion graphics, all motifs were individually generated by AI as video assets for chroma key use, then constructed through compositing and synthesis. Rather than generating everything at once, the video was structurally designed through a process of generating, selecting, placing, and animating each element as separate assets. Within the context of an AI contest, I deliberately chose a time-consuming production method in an effort to imbue the video with “brushstrokes” and “life” that cannot be achieved through one-shot generation. Rather than relying on AI’s generative power alone, this work explores the possibilities of expression through collaboration between AI and humans by selecting, composing, and assigning relationships to the materials through human intent. Instead of presenting AI’s inorganic output as is, it aims to create an emotionally resonant visual expression by reconstructing it through human intervention.

A music video created entirely in full CG. Built around the guitar as its central motif, the visual world was constructed from its form and presence. Assuming the piece to be instrumental, the visuals were designed not around the meaning of lyrics, but around the structure, texture, and energy of the sound itself. The dynamics, rhythm, and spatial breadth of the music are visualized through the deformation of forms, light, and motion. Through motion graphics design in Cinema 4D and Redshift, along with highly precise lighting and rendering, we created a full-CG expression in which sound and image are directly connected.

Based on the images inspired by the music, original hand-drawn illustrations were created for each scene and used to construct the music video. The movement within the video was built from those original drawings, incorporating AI technology while preserving the texture and nuances of the hand-drawn work as it was developed into moving images. In addition, these original drawings were compiled into a ZINE as part of the artist’s own body of work and exhibited at “Here is ZINE Tokyo #22,” held in Aoyama, Tokyo, in February 2026. Rather than stopping at completion as a video work, the project expands its world by translating the original drawings born during the production process into an analog medium, crossing the boundary between moving image and printed matter. Starting from the traces of hand drawing, this project developed into a distinctive artwork that moves back and forth between analog and digital through a process that unfolds from still images into time-based expression. This original film was inspired by Roniit’s song “Purify.” The work explores life that emerges only to fade away, and a world that is vast and beautiful, yet evokes a sense of transience and absurdity. A single star is born in a lifeless space. From it, life emerges—encountering other forms of life, colliding, and undergoing chemical reactions before eventually ceasing to exist. This process is depicted abstractly, from the detached perspective of an outside observer. I created the piece primarily in Houdini, drawing on my strengths in 3D CG and VFX.
