VGT Motion Award 2025 VGT Division Grand Prix-winning work. This short animated film was created around the theme of synergy born when different expressive methods come together, with hand-drawn animation and motion graphics as its core. By blending frame-by-frame character animation with motion graphics created using After Effects, it explores the possibilities of animation expression that can be expanded through combination.

LIGHT THE WAY Inc. created the CG moving image (motion graphics) for the promotional video introducing avex’s member ID service, “+ID.” +ID is a convenient service that lets users access avex’s various offerings—such as ticket purchases, merchandise sales, and fan clubs—all with a single ID. The piece was designed with crisp, dynamic motion so that the information is easy to follow at a good pace and the animation feels smooth and pleasant to watch.

A sequel to the short film “The Moment of Beauty,” produced in 2014. Following the previous work, the protagonist travels across space and time from a surreal world to the galaxy, triggered by light. There, he encounters a being like himself. Into the heart (the galaxy)… Production began in 2015, but after two revisions, the work was completed on the third attempt in the winter of 2016. The work was created mainly using After Effects, Cinema 4D, X-Particles, Turbulence FD, and Krakatoa. This work was honored by being selected for the 2019 Adobe After Effects splash screen. This music video was filmed on Gotland Island, Sweden, where the story is set. The marionettes featured in it were created by Yumi Hayashi, a puppeteer active in the Czech Republic.
