This work takes the Japanese novelist Yukio Mishima as its subject and reconsiders division and solidarity in the present day. Where, after all, does our memory of the “nation” come from? This piece is part of the “NEW GAME+” series, which began just before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The existence of COVID-19 gave us many insights into what is a bug and what is normal when life is viewed through both micro and macro perspectives. “NEW GAME+” means replaying a game while carrying over the status you had when you cleared it. As we rethink our new everyday life and the future, we should be able, as players, to act upon reality more effectively. Let us begin “NEW (NORMAL) GAME” as many times as we like.
