For the 30th anniversary title in the "Pawapuro" series, the opening movie was once again produced by Konami Digital Entertainment × KOO-KI. As a fitting culmination of Pawapuro’s 30-year history, it brings together planning materials, artwork and opening sequences from past titles, as well as legendary alumni from across the series, creating an opening that lets you look back on all 30 years at once. A complete departure from the youthful image of the previous work, this time it was created with a focus on coolness and spectacle, moving from the glorious past to the future. In the first half of the opening, various Pawapuro-related elements are scattered throughout, so we hope you’ll find them and enjoy looking back together.

Description: To help young people discover the appeal of becoming a tax accountant and aspire to the profession, this piece was created in an RPG-style animation. It was produced to convey the many facets of the tax accountant profession through game-like skills and traits unique to the role, such as defeating daunting tasks (bosses) with a huge workload and overcoming difficulties brilliantly with knowledge (magic). Effects, sound effects, and BGM were used to boost that image and add to the player’s sense of excitement. Incidentally, generative AI was used in part of the background illustration production.

The hugely popular “Eikyo Nine” mode from the Pawapuro series is now available in the smartphone app version. Following the worldview of the opening movie for “eBASEBALL Pawafuru Pro Yakyu 2022,” this piece is structured as a branding movie for a game focused on high school baseball, rapidly presenting moments of “aoharu” one after another. The protagonists are nameless high school baseball players. And yet, the players who gave their all and raced through three years are surely here. That was the feeling I aimed to leave behind through the direction of this piece. Once again, everyone on the in-house Pawapuro team shared their own ideas of “aoharu,” packing them into even the finest details of each cut. Through this video, I hope viewers will reflect on everyone’s hot summer, not just the players’, and enjoy playing the game.

This is the final commercial for IMS, a landmark shopping complex in Tenjin, Fukuoka, which closed at the end of August 2021. In addition to the TV commercial, we also handled the overall closure campaign, including large hanging banners, website assets, various transit ads, and newspaper advertisements. The piece was designed so that the closure would not feel negative, so that it would not seem like a mere ending, and so that it would also convey gratitude to everyone who loved it. Commentary: Unlike the opening movies of the previous three titles, this one takes a completely different direction and has been crafted as a passionate coming-of-age film. Everyone is doing their best to live within limited time. From the manager’s perspective, we portray Pawapuro-kun, his teammates, his rivals, and the people cheering them on, filling it with youthful, heart-pounding episodes. The feelings entrusted to us are passed on once again to the next. Our future begins beyond the traces of our dreams. Aim for Koshien! Please watch this story, which was carefully crafted with attention to every subtle bit of foreshadowing and payoff.

“PIP MAGNE LOOP MAX” teams up with BAKI! KOO-KI’s Toichi Shirakawa directed the special video, “Baki Baki Strongest Shoulder Stiffness Arc,” supervised by the original creator. A total of four videos were produced: “After long hours in the same position, the body goes CLANK” “Tense face-to-face interactions and physical labor leave you ROCK-HARD” “Stress from being caught in the middle weighs HEAVY on the shoulders and neck” “Year-round nonstop hard work leaves you CRACKED TO THE BONE” The characters are ordinary people battling various types of stiffness, whether from computers, customer service, stress, or housework and childcare. To save these fighters, the ultra-strong magnetic PIP MAGNE LOOP MAX makes its appearance. Special care was taken in portraying the characters’ before-and-after transformations.
