Handled the eyecatches for all 12 episodes of “Mob Psycho 100 III.” Created a total of 24 three-and-a-half-second clips, two for each episode, to air before and after the commercial break. By expanding on the themes depicted in the main story and expressing, in hand-drawn pencil-style animation, elements that could not be fully captured when adapting the original manga to animation, the work reflected the atmosphere of the original manga. Since 2012, when the original manga began serialization as a web manga, Koya, representative of “Kenja,” has also been involved as an assistant from the very first chapter. Before the TV anime adaptation, it was “Kenja” that first brought “Mob Psycho 100” to life as a promotional video for the release of the manga volumes. Having joined the TV anime series that began in 2016 from the second season and continuing into the third, “Kenja” has been involved across multiple areas of expression over the 11 years since the original manga’s first chapter—serving as an assistant on the manga, creating PVs for the volume releases, TV commercials, the TV anime, promotional commercials and PVs for the stage adaptation, and more—making this a deeply familiar and much-appreciated work.

In the website renewal accompanying the rebranding of NewPeace Inc., we were responsible for directing the main visual animation and creating the CG moving image (motion graphics). NewPeace is a visioning company that solves diverse challenges faced by businesses, brands, and society through creativity. We expressed their vision of “creating passionate connections through the power of community and technology” with a wide variety of distinctive characters and lively, high-energy animation full of excitement. Rather than simply embedding the video into the website, we worked closely with Studio Details to refine how it would be presented, aiming to create a better user experience. For example, in the scroll-linked animation, we conducted extensive testing to achieve camera work that would be immersive for users while also feeling smooth and satisfying to interact with. A work serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump called Ao no Hako, which captures a sense of “youth” that resonates with today’s teenagers through club activities and romance in high school life. While translating that work into film with refreshing visuals and expression, we also linked it with Calpis so that viewers would come away feeling that Calpis is part of “youth.”
