Description: In the previous work, “ONE another,” while Optimus Prime and Megatron were battling inside a robotic vacuum cleaner, at the very same time, the room itself was also thrown into chaos by the runaway vacuum cleanerーーー. A crisis looms over all the Studio Series figures lined up on the shelf! Released in 2025, this film came out in the memorable year marking the 40th anniversary of Transformers’ arrival in Japan. It is an original story that incorporates many elements from 40 years of Transformers history and a wide range of previous visual works. All Studio Series Transformers are lined up on a shelf based on blue, the brand color of Studio Series. It became a rare opportunity for characters from across the history of Transformers movies and animation to gather in one place. We also paid film-level attention to every detail of the music and sound effects. Please take a look at their 40-year history that goes beyond what meets the eye. For the first part, “ONE another,” a story that unfolds on the same timeline as “WE ARE NOT ALONE,” please see here 🔻 https://eizo100.jp/video/90484

Commentary: This high-quality stop-motion features Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, and Megatron, leader of the Decepticons, from Transformers: One, the latest film in the Transformers series and a new-dimensional real CG movie. To complement the theatrical title Transformers: One, the title of this work is “ONE another,” which carries the meaning of “with one another.” The year this work was released, 2024, marked the 40th anniversary of Transformers, making it a milestone year. This original story incorporates many elements drawn from the 40-year history of Transformers and various video works released over the years. All Studio Series Transformers are lined up on shelves based on blue, the brand color of Studio Series. Great care was also taken with the details of the music and sound effects. Please look for more than what is visible—their 40-year history. The story that unfolds in the same timeline as “ONE another,” the second half, “WE ARE NOT ALONE,” is available here🔻 https://eizo100.jp/video/104769

Chukyo TV Corporate Movie

2023

This is a co-directed work with Hideyuki Kojima. Based on the world of papercraft, we carefully shot the film in stop motion, moving through a series of scenes: first, Chukyo-kun and motifs from Aichi, Mie, and Gifu are cut out from paper to create a flat world; then Chukyo-kun transforms into a three-dimensional form, creating a more tactile, dimensional world; and finally, the perspective expands further as the paper world bursts into live action. The transition from the paper hand to the live-action hand was actually filmed in reverse order from what appears on screen. We first shot the stop-motion hand, then converted the hand footage into contour data and cut it out from paper, and finally replaced the paper hand and shot it again in stop motion. Lighting was also quite challenging. Because all of the paper used was the same “white,” if we didn’t use subtle changes in light to create shadows and convey depth, shadow color, and distance between objects, it would simply become an all-white world. We carefully crafted the lighting so that, no matter where you paused the video, it would form a beautiful still image. The live-action scenery is the familiar Nagoya Port. That scene was also done in stop motion, and we shot it while praying for clear weather. On the day of filming, it was a violent storm like a typhoon, and just when we thought everything was hopeless, we carried the camera up to the rooftop—and somehow, the sky cleared up all at once. It was a strange and wonderful moment.

"Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" Stop-Motion [The Battle Between Optimus Primal and Otetekuron]

2023

Description: We made a stop-motion animation to the fullest using the new release from the toy line for the seventh Hollywood Transformers movie, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts — the ultimate Beast Commander, Beast Awakening Optimus Primal. No CGI was used at all; we shot it by moving Beast Awakening Optimus Primal little by little. The entire film is stop-motion animation! Please enjoy the fierce battle between Beast Awakening Optimus Primal and the hand [Ote Tecron] attacking from behind! Guests who came all the way from the jungles of Peru are also hidden throughout the video. Be sure to look carefully in every corner! ↓The making-of video is also a must-see! https://youtu.be/M31HCjlqNuA

The 140-year history of IHI is expressed through the idea of bridges being built as lines connecting and extending onward. Beginning with an old blueprint, the animation starts as those lines stretch out, and as the years pass, bridge design techniques evolve from 2D drawings to 3D. The bridges from each era are assembled in step with that evolution, and in the end, the flourishing city that emerges beyond the completed bridge is shown in a pop-style animation.

HIFANA – TEJIME

2019

This new work by HIFANA, “TEJIME,” released after a nine-year hiatus, was unveiled on the first day of the Reiwa era and was created with the Japanese traditional celebratory ritual of “tejime” as its inspiration, in order to grandly celebrate a new era. When it comes to HIFANA, they are pioneers of Japanese anime music videos. Animation synchronized with music. Strange and humorous characters. We wanted to present each element in an extreme style. Using cel shading, a technology uniquely developed in Japan, this is a fully CG animated work created entirely by one person.
