WE ARE NOT ALONE (40th Anniversary Stop-Motion Celebration of Transformers' Arrival in Japan)

2025
00:07:42
Description: In the previous work, “ONE another,” while Optimus Prime and Megatron were battling inside a robotic vacuum cleaner, at the very same time, the room itself was also thrown into chaos by the runaway vacuum cleanerーーー. A crisis looms over all the Studio Series figures lined up on the shelf! Released in 2025, this film came out in the memorable year marking the 40th anniversary of Transformers’ arrival in Japan. It is an original story that incorporates many elements from 40 years of Transformers history and a wide range of previous visual works. All Studio Series Transformers are lined up on a shelf based on blue, the brand color of Studio Series. It became a rare opportunity for characters from across the history of Transformers movies and animation to gather in one place. We also paid film-level attention to every detail of the music and sound effects. Please take a look at their 40-year history that goes beyond what meets the eye. For the first part, “ONE another,” a story that unfolds on the same timeline as “WE ARE NOT ALONE,” please see here 🔻 https://eizo100.jp/video/90484

Commentary: This high-quality stop-motion features Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, and Megatron, leader of the Decepticons, from Transformers: One, the latest film in the Transformers series and a new-dimensional real CG movie. To complement the theatrical title Transformers: One, the title of this work is “ONE another,” which carries the meaning of “with one another.” The year this work was released, 2024, marked the 40th anniversary of Transformers, making it a milestone year. This original story incorporates many elements drawn from the 40-year history of Transformers and various video works released over the years. All Studio Series Transformers are lined up on shelves based on blue, the brand color of Studio Series. Great care was also taken with the details of the music and sound effects. Please look for more than what is visible—their 40-year history. The story that unfolds in the same timeline as “ONE another,” the second half, “WE ARE NOT ALONE,” is available here🔻 https://eizo100.jp/video/104769

Description: We made a stop-motion animation to the fullest using the new release from the toy line for the seventh Hollywood Transformers movie, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts — the ultimate Beast Commander, Beast Awakening Optimus Primal. No CGI was used at all; we shot it by moving Beast Awakening Optimus Primal little by little. The entire film is stop-motion animation! Please enjoy the fierce battle between Beast Awakening Optimus Primal and the hand [Ote Tecron] attacking from behind! Guests who came all the way from the jungles of Peru are also hidden throughout the video. Be sure to look carefully in every corner! ↓The making-of video is also a must-see! https://youtu.be/M31HCjlqNuA

Papercraft Movie "The History of IDEMITSU" [Idemitsu Kosan]

Saori Watanabe, a stop-motion animation artist, directed and wrote the screenplay for the Idemitsu Kosan 105th Anniversary Special Movie, “Papercraft Movie The History of IDEMITSU,” which is now available. Idemitsu Kosan is a leading Japanese energy company founded in the Meiji era. The released movie is a stop-motion animation that depicts, in papercraft, the history of Idemitsu Kosan—which continued to take on various hardships—and Japan, which achieved remarkable growth in the postwar period. All of the objects that appear are made entirely of paper. We created a film with a flat yet deeply dimensional look. It is a painstaking work shot over 18 days, with thick craft paper cut out by laser cutter and replaced frame by frame, while the camera work, as well as the position and distance of the craft paper, were adjusted little by little. The sunrise scene, a major centerpiece of this work, was also animated by gradually moving the actual sun (lighting) little by little. Please also pay attention to the atmospheric music and sound effects. A making-of movie offering a glimpse into the filming process and papercraft production is also now available.
