A lyric video in which the lyrics appear one after another throughout a cyberpunk city, on electronic signboards and elsewhere. It challenges itself to give every lyric reveal a gimmick, creating a beginning, middle, twist, and resolution within a game-like side-scrolling world. Almost all of the backgrounds are produced not in illustration software but in After Effects, by animating 2D shape layers (combinations of simple forms such as squares and circles), which gives the piece a distinctive sense of sterility. In the latter half, in keeping with the song’s theme of “minority,” the protagonist is shown moving relentlessly deeper into the city amid falling meteors and people fleeing in panic.

We produced our own brand film to convey LIGHT THE WAY’s passion for creativity. We emotionally and clearly presented a message that is difficult to express with a single visual: our desire to co-create new value and phenomena with our clients. This work incorporates not only 2D, but also a great deal of 3D graphics and animation. It has become a piece that expands the range of options we can offer, proposing a variety of expressive approaches to everyone.
