This is a reel of visuals used in live performance direction. I explored visual production as a lighting effect in a live setting. I experimented with creating visuals using a wide range of tools across genres, including live action, CG (Blender), simulations, audio-reactive systems (TouchDesigner, Resolume), and generative AI (Midjourney, Runway ML). In performances where shamisen parts are exchanged at high speed, manual operation with a controller could not keep up, so real-time visualization with TouchDesigner was effective.

“Earth as Seen from Space: A Culture” Inspired by music, this project visualizes the creative process of a Japanese dancer choreographing and a chef creating cuisine. This time, the theme is Daft Punk’s “Within.” Using CG, live action, and compositing, I created a video in which reality and unreality coexist. This is my first independently produced work. I used Polycam, Nomad Sculpt, Blender, Substance 3D Painter, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Firefly. The 3D models that appear were all modeled from scratch without using any assets. The slot symbols at the beginning of the work were generated using Adobe Firefly. Throughout the CG and live-action scenes, the footage was basically shot with a 50mm focal length.
