Concept film for OBJECT INDEX, a new brand for overseas markets from KAKIMORI, the long-established stationery maker headquartered in Kuramae, Tokyo. The film is quietly and precisely composed so that the atmosphere conveyed by the products—their functions made visible in form, their noise-free coloring that blends into any lifestyle, and the particular kind of madness hidden within Japanese craftsmanship—becomes the very character of the visuals.

MUJI’s lotion combines high quality derived from natural spring water with an affordable price, making it a product loved by a wide range of ages regardless of gender. By placing the product in the midst of nature and shooting in a single take from a close-up perspective all the way to a distant view in which it appears as tiny as grains of sand, and pairing this with the phrase “Generously, naturally,” the film conveyed in a highly simple way the product concept: “Such a vast natural world is contained in an affordable single bottle.”

音楽家VOQが、2018年11月に「PROGRESSIVES FOrM」から発表した2ndアルバム『VEILS』からの楽曲『qov』のMVとして制作しました。 MVでもありますが、同じようなイメージを何度も描く「時間の絵」で、イメージの在り処の非局所性を観たい、絵かきとしての映像表現を意図しています。 この作品は、 デザイナーの横山由美子氏が企画した、Earth&Salt(渋谷区広尾)での展覧会「動物と輪郭, Animals&Silhouette」(2016)の展示作品として、インディペンデント・キュレーターの赤井あずみ氏が主宰する「YUKAWATANA」(鳥取市商栄町)でのライブ上映のために描き下ろしたドローイング・アニメーション『UNDER A HIMALAYAN CEDAR』(2012)に加筆して、VOQの同曲『qov』の初期ヴァージョンと合わせた作品でもあります。

音楽家VOQが、2018年11月に「PROGRESSIVES FOrM」から発表した2ndアルバム『VEILS』からの楽曲『nova』のMVとして制作しました。 MVでもありますが、同じようなイメージを何度も描く「時間の絵」で、イメージの在り処の非局所性を観たい、絵かきとしての映像表現を意図しています。 この作品は、 福井県福井市が主催した「フクイ夢アート2016」に参加して、商店街の元店舗で展示上映するため、VOQの同曲『nova』の初期ヴァージョンと合わせた、ドローイング・アニメーション作品『フォローミー』(2016)でもあり、NHK教育放送の番組『美と出会う』(2001)のタイトル映像の未採用作品に加筆および再編集したものです。
