Music video for “Wonder,” a track from Dangle Candle, the solo album by Kohei Kamoto, who is also a member of DYGL. In this work, we sought to visually express the melancholic texture of the song while also rendering a sense of drifting aimlessly, as if with nowhere to go.
Drawing mainly on the texture of 2000s-era games, we constructed a virtual game-like space and created the 3DCG work by combining 3D models, environments, and motion graphics made from scan data of Kamoto himself within that space. By incorporating the uncanny quality of game-like visuals, as well as expressions that intentionally evoke incompleteness and instability, we attempted to expand the song’s world.
