To announce the debut of SIGMA’s new lens series for mirrorless cameras, the “I series,” we produced a promotional video. Its presence, born from the beauty and texture made possible only by exceptional quality, goes beyond being a mere tool and offers the joy of holding and handling it, as well as the pleasure of owning it. As a promotion for this new lens series, we aimed to create a visual presentation that would allow viewers to fully experience the lens’s outstanding build quality, the texture of its finer details, and the pleasant feel of operation.

Using the pufferfish as a motif, the design is born, repeatedly splitting and multiplying, and ultimately is released into the world as an entity that embodies both poison and beauty.

The video takes on a collage-like structure that combines multiple techniques and dimensions, including hand-drawn 2D animation, silhouette animation, 3DCG, and live-action shooting using miniatures.
