A video exploring a tactile visual expression reminiscent of stop-motion.

Fragments of an ensemble drama. A coming-of-age story depicting the summer story of an entire high school class. All of the high school cast members were non-professionals, in pursuit of the nuanced realism of actual students.

This project was designed to deliver Nabtesco’s “move, stop.” technology—an unsung but essential force—through a visual experience that the general public can grasp intuitively. In this installment, the Nabtesco Monsters were rendered in 3DCG, and a pathway was designed to help viewers receive the message as something personally relevant, using a family conversation as the entry point. Kakao, who is extremely large and strong; Pista, who is skillful, flexible, and even capable of transforming; and Berry, who uses long arms to efficiently handle delicate tasks, all appear in a composition that connects technology working behind the scenes of society with familiar everyday scenes.
