[Work Overview] Mimi, a girl, gets a pimple on her cheek. Afraid that she is maturing faster than the other girls, she is treated as though she does not exist. This work depicts the unstable emotions that arise within a group and the release from them, using the metamorphosis from a chrysalis into a butterfly as a metaphor. Along with its warm colors and brushwork, it employs looped footage and linear camera movement to create an effect that makes painted backdrops seem to move. [Synposis] MIMI gets her first pimple. She's afraid of being different from the other girls. Uncomfortable around people who aren't like her, she starts imitating the girls around her.

One day, a female painter realized that she couldn't come up with any other themes to paint except for her lover. She isolated herself in her world of art, trying to distance herself from her lover in order to paint something else. However, her lover continued to provide her with warmth and concern. Eventually, she painted a beautiful piece to commemorate the most beautiful thing in the world - love. To better convey the story, I designed the artwork in different styles. I used a Japanese animation style to represent the real world, and hand-painted watercolor and oil painting styles to represent the world in the painting.
