[Work Overview] Mimi, a girl, gets a pimple on her cheek. Afraid that she is maturing faster than the other girls, she is treated as though she does not exist. This work depicts the unstable emotions that arise within a group and the release from them, using the metamorphosis from a chrysalis into a butterfly as a metaphor. Along with its warm colors and brushwork, it employs looped footage and linear camera movement to create an effect that makes painted backdrops seem to move. [Synposis] MIMI gets her first pimple. She's afraid of being different from the other girls. Uncomfortable around people who aren't like her, she starts imitating the girls around her. [Awards & Selections]
