Riding on a Time Machine (Official Music Video) Produced by PUNPEE 1st Album "MODERN TIMES" An animated work created entirely using rotoscoping

We planned and produced the main visual and film for UNIQLO’s 2023 global holiday campaign. Set in a fictional cityscape centered around UNIQLO stores, we created a wimmelbook-style visual—an illustration packed with countless people and objects—that depicts people experiencing a variety of everyday “small joys.” Through the festive excitement of the holidays, it conveys UNIQLO’s “LifeWear” philosophy of delivering the ultimate everyday clothing to people around the world. We also produced a special film in which approximately 1,400 characters move around in animation, and it was rolled out across about 3,000 stores in 27 countries worldwide.

This project began as a side story to Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s 2017 music video for “WanteD! WanteD!” It focuses on a certain girl (Yurina Hirate) who exists in the same world as the 2017 video, which evokes a sense of impending apocalypse. The real-life sense of an ending that spread during the COVID-19 pandemic resonated with the world originally envisioned for this work, greatly expanding the concept. It directly visualizes the various emotions and the multiplicity of themes that emerged through repeated discussions with Hirate and the staff.

From “Loopic,” an animated music video account produced by DMM pictures and Pie in the sky and featuring works by up-and-coming creators, comes this short animated film. In a roughly 15-second animation, Bettsu-kun, the tomato character, is put through a series of unfortunate events set to music.
