“Connect & Create NOBEOKA” is a residency program in which directors and filmmakers stay in Nobeoka and create video works while engaging with the local people, landscapes, culture, and everyday life. For the 2026 residency call, we produced the teaser visual and teaser movie. Building on the foundation of the program’s activities and its visual identity cultivated to date, we designed the colors and materials. Drawing motifs from Nobeoka’s culture and climate, we created tactile visual and cinematic expressions that are rooted in the region’s character and attuned to creators’ passion for making.

For Reiwa 8 as well, I was again in charge of the key visual for the call for proposals for the Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Arts Creators Development Support Program. By combining 3DCG created with Blender, rotoscoping, and distinctive textural expressions using a thermal printer, I built a tactile visual world in which digital and analog elements coexist comfortably. Existing values are depicted as a “school of fish,” or a collection of homogeneous individuals, while the newly emerging “egg” within it is expressed as a symbol of new values and perspectives nurtured through the support program. The sound design is by SOZEN OTSUBO. The delicate sound gives the entire video an organic sense of life.

Under the creative direction of the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, we produced the visuals and teaser movie for “B-PARTY 2026.” With Yokohama Stadium transformed into a party venue, the event offers food and drinks alongside powerful sound from the DJ stage. The sound design for the attack video was handled by SKYTOPIA. The danceable sound, perfectly suited to the event, was created using cheers and bat sounds as source material.
