Artwork and teaser visuals for “Pressure,” a collaboration single by Ogasawara and SKYTOPIA, two notable producers from Tokyo’s new UKG scene. The tense, tight two-step rhythm and groovy bassline are expressed through elegant visuals with an acidic touch. In previous WORKS, ASCII art-style visual expression was created using After Effects, but this time, tool development was carried out with Claude Code, successfully building a low-cost workflow. The creature seated at the center is inspired by venomous organisms such as the Asian tiger mosquito and the blue-ringed octopus, pursuing a uniquely original mashup.

“Connect & Create NOBEOKA” is a residency program in which directors and filmmakers stay in Nobeoka and create video works while engaging with the local people, landscapes, culture, and everyday life. For the 2026 residency call, we produced the teaser visual and teaser movie. Building on the foundation of the program’s activities and its visual identity cultivated to date, we designed the colors and materials. Drawing motifs from Nobeoka’s culture and climate, we created tactile visual and cinematic expressions that are rooted in the region’s character and attuned to creators’ passion for making.

Released in 2024, SKYTPIA’s “Pu!se” is now out as a remix release featuring the VIP Mix. Reinterpreting the single’s artwork, it was reconstructed through IK control using a damping track. With cyberpunk nuances, it was elevated into a striking presence reminiscent of a metallic lifeform.

For Reiwa 8 as well, I was again in charge of the key visual for the call for proposals for the Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Arts Creators Development Support Program. By combining 3DCG created with Blender, rotoscoping, and distinctive textural expressions using a thermal printer, I built a tactile visual world in which digital and analog elements coexist comfortably. Existing values are depicted as a “school of fish,” or a collection of homogeneous individuals, while the newly emerging “egg” within it is expressed as a symbol of new values and perspectives nurtured through the support program. The sound design is by SOZEN OTSUBO. The delicate sound gives the entire video an organic sense of life.
