Description: I directed the music video for ASTERISM’s cover of “Kaikai Kitan,” by a band that debuted as an instrumental metal group. When I listened to the sounds played by the members, I had the sensation that the instruments were singing, and after thinking about how to visualize that, I had the members write down those sounds as lyrics. It was our first attempt at “instrumental lyrics,” and it was very fun to visualize the sounds they hear, matched to the music. I directed Pioneer’s corporate movie. Using a triangular prism packed with the new technologies that Pioneer will be announcing in the future, I expressed the future it will bring to people. I placed great importance on the subtle emotional ups and downs people experience through mobility.
