An animated segment of TV Tokyo’s program “Sina Pushu,” aimed at children aged 0 to 2. In this segment, Tai rhythmically makes his wishes come true, accompanied by the phrase, “Tai, tai, I want to ○○!” The visuals were created using hand-drawn animation, and I also handled the BGM and voices.

An independently produced music video by the creative unit Tina-zoku, who call themselves angel-type idols. They were involved in every step of the production, from planning and directing to performing and writing the lyrics. Packed with direction reminiscent of the early Heisei era, this is a passionate work that recreates the era’s unmistakable, unabashed brightness in everything from the music to the visuals.

I participated in and created this work for the logo movie project “Hulu IDs” for the U.S. version of the streaming service Hulu. I aimed to create an animation style that was energetic and exciting above all else. The music was made together with a friend I have worked with since my student days. As for the singing, I wanted to create a Japanese song that people overseas could enjoy too, so I chose Japanese words whose pronunciation I found appealing, regardless of their meaning, and arranged them to fit the melody. This is the opening animation for the “15th Indies Anime Festa 2017,” held in Mitaka City on March 5, 2017.

An animated work depicting the lively daily life of a boy named Yonpei-kun. This time, it is “Let’s Go on an Errand!” This work was created as a graduate school thesis project. I aimed for an expression that lies somewhere on the border between whimsy and madness. The technique used is hand-drawn animation. I drew using a variety of art materials, including ballpoint pens, colored sign pens, and colored pencils. After completing the drawings, I scanned all of them to digitize them, and then finished the piece by editing it using Photoshop and After Effects. For the music, I wrote the lyrics and added a temporary melody by humming, then a friend in charge of the music arranged it, and another friend in charge of voice acting provided the voice to complete the piece.
