Description: I want to keep a hamster. But someday, they will die. Could I endure that sadness and pain? No, I probably couldn’t. “Then why not just keep something that is already dead?” Thinking this way, the girl breathes life into various lifeless objects around her. So when will those already dead things die again? This work is an animation depicting the moment when “death” dies once more. By combining simplified, fancy characters with vividly shot live-action footage, the work creates a coexistence of cuteness and grotesquery, enhancing the appeal of each.

About the work A man trudges through the same place again and again in a dim wasteland, as if dragging his weary body behind him. His doubles, replicated like afterimages, drift through the air, forming a huge mass that hovers over his head. On the ground, tentacles cling to him as if to hinder his steps. Before long, the man collapses to the ground and sinks into a mental realm. A visual work that depicts modern people, constantly exposed to information and living alongside complex human relationships, in an unfamiliar brilliance. The contours and boundaries of the self, shaped by self-awareness, waver, mutate, and dissolve. It portrays human beings living through this cycle. What I first felt when I listened to the song was a sense of floating in the melody, so I focused on creating visuals of fluffy things drifting freely on the wind, while abstractly depicting the “I” in the lyrics and making the animation move comfortably in sync with the melody. It really felt spot on. And when you’re simply having fun, feeling cute, liking something, or completely absorbed in it, you naturally end up smiling, don’t you? With those feelings in mind, I created this video.

Directed the music video for ONE OK ROCK's "Renegades," released on April 16, 2021. The individuality of RENEGADES (LGBT, fashion, art, distinctive characters) is expressed through a simple yet grand world created with VFX, combined with ONE OK ROCK's powerful, expansive performance scenes.

ONE DAY, 2050 / Sci-Fi Prototyping is a project in which SONY’s young designers and a leading science-fiction writer use “Sci-Fi Prototyping” to create a 10,000-character short story set in Tokyo in 2050, themed around diverse forms of romance, along with future products that appear in the story, which are mocked up and exhibited as design fiction at SONY Park in Ginza, Tokyo. Ohashi collaborated with illustrator Kazuya Kikkawa and animation artist Kazuki Sekiguchi to create an animated work like a film teaser that draws interest in the original novel’s story by incorporating the design fiction exhibited at the venue into the short story “Kimi ka Kimi ka.” Using halftones and dithering, the work portrays the hopeful vision of future products and the distance that emerges between the protagonists, Ichiu and Yori, after a certain incident, in a clean, dry visual style.

ASO CALDERA HIKE At the plaza in front of JR Kumamoto Station, we unveiled “ASO CALDERA HIKE,” a विशाल space themed around the Aso Caldera, a symbol of Kumamoto’s great natural landscape, with a maximum diameter of approximately 24 meters and a maximum height of approximately 2.4 meters. “What if Kumamoto’s great nature came to the very center of the city?” ASO CALDERA HIKE is a content experience that lets visitors immerse themselves in Aso, the symbol of Kumamoto’s natural beauty. A giant object, inspired by the outer rim mountains encircling the Aso Caldera and measuring up to approximately 24 meters in diameter, was installed at Amu Hiroba. Visitors can step inside the ring-shaped structure, wander around, or sit and relax at their leisure. At night, a show and interstitial effects are performed using a high-brightness projector of approximately 40,000 lumens installed on the upper floors of the station building. PARTY was responsible for the planning and overall direction. Period: Friday, December 3, 2021 – Monday, January 10, 2022 (national holiday) Location: Amu Hiroba (Shirakawa Exit Station Plaza, in front of Kumamoto Station) Show Direction: HIKING SEASONS The theme is the four seasons of Aso. This is an immersive art experience in which visitors walk through a giant object modeled after the Aso Caldera and enjoy the changing, majestic scenery of Aso. From January, when the land is covered in snow and ice, to controlled grass burning, fresh greenery, Miyama kirishima azaleas, grass and blue skies, and pampas grass tinged by the setting sun, leading to a December landscape sparkling with countless stars. A vast projection spread across approximately 600㎡ brings to life Aso’s magnificent scenery as it transforms with the seasons.

This is “Imaginary Friend,” a song provided by Seiko Oomori, presented as the second collaboration project in “Kumikyoku,” a collaboration initiative launched by virtual singer KAF, centered around collaborations with real-world artists and composers.
