Using video techniques evocative of the late 1980s to early 1990s, I roughly layered another video over it, aiming for a presentation with a sense of tempo and humor.

Description: She falls for a playboy, but he never returns her feelings and treats her like a casual fling. While tormenting herself alone with thoughts like, “He should absolutely be into me,” she ends up relying on alcohol. However, since she isn’t very good with drinking, she grows dazed and spirals out of control on her own. The room, the outdoors, and each setting are all carefully crafted with cocktail-like hues in mind, such as red, green, orange, and yellow. This music video blends reality with drunken fantasies.

I was in charge of the direction and production of Haru no yokan / ChroNoiR.

A music video combining live action and CG backgrounds. Its theme is the feeling of enjoying music and everyday life beyond reasons or gain, and positively renewing “each day” together with companions and new encounters. It emphasizes the subtle sense of uplift born from daily repetition, bodily sensation, and the pace of the city. The tactile quality of a landscape that changes little by little within an otherwise steady daily routine is highlighted through a chain of shots, shifts in texture, and the treatment of the “human silhouette.” The production was built on Blender, with numerous effect systems created in TouchDesigner using People Segmentation applied to live-action footage. Starting from silhouette information, it layers graphics, noise, masking, and deformation processes. The aim is to achieve both the momentary pleasure of synchronization with sound and the continuity of everyday life.
