The method of making the reel was designed as a grid system in the time dimension. Rather than cutting from the full-length footage each time, I chose an editing approach in which short sequences were pre-cut and then rearranged like a puzzle. By defining the production process itself, the aim was to give the final output a tone independent of any individual worker, layering in the magic of division of labor and collaboration.

Data held by companies engaged in co-creation is collected, stored, and analyzed using the “Smart Data Platform,” then visualized on a huge LED display measuring approximately 3 m × 10 m. Through this dynamic, data-driven installation experience, it encourages the creation of new value.

I just absolutely love the song! The moment I heard it, colorful candies started spinning around in my head. Since it’s “daishikyuu,” I wanted to make something fast-paced, chaotic, and above all super cute, so we had lots of costumes prepared, along with a bike, props, and all kinds of things for the shoot. With the theme of dreams you see while sleeping, I imagined a story like this: you desperately need to wake up, but you can’t get out of the dream world and end up going on a wild rampage! Also, I planned it with an image of a struggle over who has dominion over the dream—whether it’s Kana-chan’s dream or Sakina-chan’s dream, whose dream is it, anyway!? In the end, the domination battle element was removed, and it was shaped into more of a dream world, a cute little space, and that sort of image... When I listen to the song, it gives me the image of the two of them playing sports, and I pictured them wearing baseball uniforms in a gyaru style. I thought it would be absolutely adorable, so we went with it. (Kind of like Ayaya’s “Tropica~l Koi Shite~ru” lol) I also pushed for us to film the bike scene. When you think of speed, you think of a bike. The animation is also gorgeous, and for the very first OP animation, I asked misa to create something based on the idea that it takes place inside a girl’s dream. It’s insanely cute and amazing. The animation for the first chorus is the scene where they blow away the nightmare, and that was created by RaParu-san. I’ve loved RaParu-san for a long time and always hoped we’d get to work together someday... so I was really happy that my wish finally came true. And for the flashy effect animation in the baseball scene, of course it had to be Tetsuya Tatamiya-kun, the reliable go-to for effect animation!

ONE DAY, 2050 / Sci-Fi Prototyping is a project in which SONY’s young designers and a leading science-fiction writer use “Sci-Fi Prototyping” to create a 10,000-character short story set in Tokyo in 2050, themed around diverse forms of romance, along with future products that appear in the story, which are mocked up and exhibited as design fiction at SONY Park in Ginza, Tokyo. Ohashi collaborated with illustrator Kazuya Kikkawa and animation artist Kazuki Sekiguchi to create an animated work like a film teaser that draws interest in the original novel’s story by incorporating the design fiction exhibited at the venue into the short story “Kimi ka Kimi ka.” Using halftones and dithering, the work portrays the hopeful vision of future products and the distance that emerges between the protagonists, Ichiu and Yori, after a certain incident, in a clean, dry visual style.

ASO CALDERA HIKE At the plaza in front of JR Kumamoto Station, we unveiled “ASO CALDERA HIKE,” a विशाल space themed around the Aso Caldera, a symbol of Kumamoto’s great natural landscape, with a maximum diameter of approximately 24 meters and a maximum height of approximately 2.4 meters. “What if Kumamoto’s great nature came to the very center of the city?” ASO CALDERA HIKE is a content experience that lets visitors immerse themselves in Aso, the symbol of Kumamoto’s natural beauty. A giant object, inspired by the outer rim mountains encircling the Aso Caldera and measuring up to approximately 24 meters in diameter, was installed at Amu Hiroba. Visitors can step inside the ring-shaped structure, wander around, or sit and relax at their leisure. At night, a show and interstitial effects are performed using a high-brightness projector of approximately 40,000 lumens installed on the upper floors of the station building. PARTY was responsible for the planning and overall direction. This is an immersive art experience in which visitors walk through a giant object modeled after the Aso Caldera and enjoy the changing, majestic scenery of Aso. From January, when the land is covered in snow and ice, to controlled grass burning, fresh greenery, Miyama kirishima azaleas, grass and blue skies, and pampas grass tinged by the setting sun, leading to a December landscape sparkling with countless stars. A vast projection spread across approximately 600㎡ brings to life Aso’s magnificent scenery as it transforms with the seasons.

In a certain city, at a certain time, the lives of three strangers cross for a brief moment.

I was in charge of the animation for NHK Minna no Uta’s “Boku no Naka no Guitar Case” (“Me Inside the Guitar Case”). The image that came to mind was of a humble, steadfast me, living each day while carrying worries and anxieties. Turning the various thoughts and realizations that arise in everyday life into music, and that music enriching my life. I wanted to depict that adorable little life. I also felt that this song was not only for those who dream of becoming musicians, but for everyone who is pursuing different kinds of dreams. So I decided to make the animation feel like a collection of pieces from an ordinary, simple life. This time, the protagonist is me, carrying a guitar case, but I think many of you may find your own lives reflected in it as well. I hope your everyday lives will come to feel dear and precious to you. *The video shown is silent due to licensing restrictions.
